What’s the reason why Jeremiah Hughes isn’t rated higher?

He’s a Bishop Gorman product which is a national high school power house. I believe their defense was very dominant this past year. He’s also listed as 6’1” which is great for a DB… were the rest of his measurables bad? Did he not go to a lot of the popular scouting camps?

It's puzzling.
He had seven interceptions in the first eight games of the season, or something.
I don't know what else he's supposed to do to be a four-star recruit.

He was coming off an injury from last year I believe.

He was a WR early on in HS. Switched positions and tore his ACL. This season was his first full season at DB. I believe he’s better than his rating.

That makes alot of sense. Sounds like he didn't even do any camps as a DB.

Kelly surely wanted him in a big way. That's a high enough rating for me.
