Negative - Janzen Jackson switching to UT day after NSD. Not sure how much of a "shock" that was (yes, I know it worked out, but we didn't know at the time what his future would hold and he was a baller)

Positive - Sam Montgomery was a bit of a surprise if I remember correctly

Wasn't Ego a nice surprise on NSD as well?

Nobody expected this until some punk kid broke the news on the internet that Janzen would sign with UT

Sam M actually named LSU his leader very early on in his process then backed off it and took visits etc.

Big Sam was all LSU. Only hesitation was when Earl Lane left - but Lane spoke with him and settled his mind.

yea, idk if he ever got into auburn either

Also, Ricky Jean Francois came out of nowhere iirc. He signed a day or two after NSD because he and his dad got into it. Dad wanted him at USF iirc.

eta: it may have been a week after NSD actually.

Someone else certainly knows better than me, but wasn't he supposed to go to one of the Carolinas? Caught everyone off guard when he said LSU
