They have pretty much have the best facilities in college and kids are going first round to the draft and not to mention they are winning championships and being coached by One of the best coach's in college, in little Nicky. But we have to start beating them year end and year out.

Agreed, beat them and recruiting against them will be much easier. Saban is the best recruiter in college football!

Goddamn LSU has more than its share of insecure fans.

Bama has won 3 of 4, Saban is the undisputed best coach of the modern era, and Bama's history is second to none. A player picks Bama over LSU and suddenly this board is overrun with reactionary mouth breathers bitching about taking our state back, cursing kids for leaving, questioning their loyalty to their state, and generally acting like children.

Oh and Miles pulls in top 10 classes on the reg and is widely seen as having the most talented team in the SEC. But the sky is falling, of course.

There's your problem right there. Success by what standard. If it's the old 10-win standard, then yes (there sure are a lot of successful teams out there). If it's number of visits to the mountain top, then no. If it's by measuring a program in gradual decline/improve, then no to that too.

I'm thinking their plethora of national championships the past few years is a big factor, or do you think that's not important?

Let it go guys. Cam made his choice. Down the line he'll relalize it was a mistake. It's all gonna change in November. Probably for the next couple years too IMO.......LSU isn't going anywhere but up.

It's very important. We have to beat the Champs to be the Champs and then we will start to win these recruiting battles.

Marks my words. Bama will get burned at some point in time due to their recruiting tactics. Yes they balance on that gray line, but at some point the devil will step on the wrong toes and bam!!!!! Miami part 2 When you start pulling in top recruits from other states year in and year out with a lot of this and that talk around them they will get popped.

The NCAA(although they suck off Saban) will start digging around into things. How do you think Miami finally got busted.

It all depends on the kid. I know when I was deciding on where to go to college I wanted to get away from home. Louisiana probably doesn't lose any more than any other state does. Winston is a good example of a stud we didn't get. It happens. As far as "exciting", everyone's idea of exciting is different. I've never been the biggest fan of New Orleans. Neither have I of Atlanta. Memphis is a dump. Tuscaloosa is much like any other college town. Between the ages of 18 and 22 there is stuff to do but I don't want my players having the temptation of an "exciting" city next door either. If boring you mean partying all the time, etc. No its not Baton Rouge but I don't want it to be and neither do most Alabamians. Different culture, different way of life with the 2. Even religion is different. I wouldn't be happy in LA just as you wouldn't be in Alabama. Alabama is boring to you, to me BTR and New Orleans are too high strung and too much BS goes on for me to be comfortable there. Just me and to each his own. I understand what you say but we ask ourselves when players have left, who would want to live in BTR? They don't even have Costco there

Yes, they are a successful program. But we are too. What do Louisiana kids really see in Alabama that's not at LSU? Alabama is a worse state with lil to none excitement. Tuscaloosa is much smaller than Baton Rouge. New Orleans is a much more exciting city than fkn Birmingham. I could see losing Louisiana kids to Texas, but Alabama??? It's boring as fk out there. I just don't see the excitement for Alabama for a Louisiana kid. They are winning now, but once Saban leaves or retires, they will go back to average/good. I guess we just have to beat those clowns regularly to win our state back.

all you can do is just cry about it. kids are gonna play where they want to and theres nothing anyone can do about it.

Championships. Once they stop winning them, they'll stop getting our recruits and those 1-2 bandwagoning recruits will go wherever the championships are.

They outwork everyone at it, don't forget this. Remember the kid that got 100 pieces of mail from Bama in one day? That was by design. I know they said it was a snafu, BUT, it got them in the news and that's always a good thing.

Revisionist history at its finest. Bama was "average/good" from 1997-2007. That's a small representation of its entire history. Bama's overall history - pre Saban - is top 3 program. LSU didn't revert back to their pre Saban success (or lack thereof) once he went to Miami. Why do you think (hope) that Bama will be "average/good" instead of remain at minimum a top 10 team?

The hatchet job that those assclowns at espn pulled to get bama in the bcs game certainly isn't helping the LSU recruiting efforts.

The "hatchet job" ESPN pulled to get Bama in the BCS game isn't what is hurting LSU recruiting efforts. Its the hideous performance of LSU in that game that hurts. ESPN didn't shut you out for the first and only shutout in BCSCG history. ESPN didn't prevent you from crossing the 50 more than once all game. ESPN didn't beat you by 21 points. ESPN didn't prevent you from making any type of adjustments during the game. Stop blaming ESPN. You were in the game. Win it and you have the title. You didn't so you don't. Pretty simple, but I understand it's easier to excuse make and blame shift. Grow a pair, Nancy.

Kinda tough to beat a team twice. Bama did not deserve to be there, period. Quit trying to justify the gift ESPN gave you. Just admit Bama was gifted a chance to redeem the loss they suffered at home, when OSU clearly had the better resume. Bama won and that's that, but don't act like it was deserved.
