What's more important to a recruit?

A chance to win a National Championship or the chance to start their freshman year?

Here's what's most important to a recruit... $$$$$$.

simple answer; not all recruits are alike. they are stars, though, and want to continue the glory uninterupted if possible. PT has to be promised by all recruiters, but they are fools ( or desperate as hell) if they guarantee it.

Making it to the NFL is the most important. Or at least making a living playing football is where most of their dreams are.
A coach successfully putting kids into the pros, especially in your position, is more important than national championships or starting as a freshman. That's just my opinion though.

I would say a NC. To those saying it is $$$$. We have had plenty of players who have stayed another year because they wanted another crack at an SEC or NC.

I would say PT.
most of them want to be on the field alot their true freshman year.
you may hear 2% of them mention winning a NC, especially their first year.
of course they all want to win but i would say playing in the NFL is more important then a NC, but thats JMO

since you're around these guys, what percentage would you say really believe they have a shot in the league that really don't? Also, what percentage realize they probably don't?

your asking this on a site where the only recruiting that has been done with the posters is as a sandwich artist at Subway?

If you have never been a recruit how would you know? That is what is wrong with you people .You think you know every thing about every thing.Their is alot more to it than just those three things.

PLAYING in a NC game! And since MOST won't play their first yr, fewer will start and a sliver could make an impact as freshmen at their first yr in a NC game, I would have to go with playing time which eventually would lead THEM to earning a chance to play for a NC.

See 2003 -- Justin Vincent says BOTH!!! Well, ok .. he was a back-up turned starter due to injury if I remember right .. who DID he replace?

That's a tough question... I will reply as best as I can... First, everyone is different and each have their own set of priorities... I believe most recruits have an affinity or love for a particular school from the get go and also like other fad schools also... If that first said school is having a really down year(6-6 or worse) then it leaves them open to liking their second and third choices.... Now comes the reasons... Wow, I can go to school B where they are really doing something(having a chance to play for a title) over there... School C is a really cool place, I wouldnt mind playing out of state... I really love my first choice and would love to help them get back to prominence but do I believe in this coach? I definitely can see me playing my first year... Team B is showing me a lot of love, I feel like they really want me... You see, it can be a very fun or stressful experience depending on how you look at it... I think most kids want to play immediately with the championships in reach...
