They’ll be back at the elite 8.
The post play development will determine final four or not. Talent wise collectively Joyner, Knox and Koval is an upgrade collectively relative to what we had last year outside of morrow. I like Samayah but she basically only gave LSU like 4-5 quality games over the better last season. She elected to leave to go make some cash.
Fulwiley was a big signing and I expect the freshmen class to play significant minutes and it should give LSU improved bench play.
Now they do need to add 1-2 more bigs to round out the roster but talent wise it’s still a top 10 team easily.
I completely agree. If we see an immense improvement in Koval from her freshman season, and Joyner turns out to be as good a Smith, we COULD make a final four. More than likely elite eight with this roster though................

Joyner is better than smith

frick. We are disastrously short handed in the front court. This is likely a Sweet Sixteen team but that is not certain.
Goddamn motherfricker. Another Redus second place finish on the big fish.
Come on now..............................let's not exaggerate because we lost one player. This is the same man who got us Reese, Morrow, Van Lith, and the two of the last three #1 HS recruiting classes. She chose a program with more tradition that is closer to her home. Not much can be done about that.

Knew it once I saw her insta post Sunday wearing Tiger print. Oh well would have been nice because LSU would’ve been a sure fire final four team with her but we going to be alright.

There are several articles predicting 6'4" Awa Fam will be #1 draft pick in WNBA next year. So she won't need go to college. She has beautiful, smooth shot and easily shoots 3s. She is being compared to Aja Wilson.

Did you read my post? I was reponding to a previous post above asking what Awa Fam (possible international recruit) was up to. Not about Williams.

Gonna be lots of MK at the 4 next season!
We have Joyner and Knox. That’s good enough for the 4 spot. Now they do need to add someone with Koval at the 5. If Koval continues to develop and makes a sophomore jump LSU will be in great shape. Just have to pull in one more with Koval at that 5 spot. At some point someone will get in foul trouble and you’ll need someone potentially suitable needed to give some minutes

Losing Williams to UCONN isn’t great but not getting her to LSU isn’t as bad as it seams considering this past team. Smith is 6’2” (6.4 rpg) and played taller than her height and Morrow is 6’1” (13.5 rpg). The majority of our Rebounds came from primarily those two players. Jersey Wolfenbarger Was ok rebounding the ball but was 5th in rebounding behind Flau’ Jae and Mikaylah and Del Rosario was of no value to this team this year. So when you look at what we have coming in with Koval and Knox, all we need is for someone like MK to step up and contribute more to rebounding the ball. Morrow was just a next level rebounder, so if we can get a collective increase in rebounding effort, this team, without Serah Williams, can still be great. I also think Joyner will be better than most fans realize. You just worry about injuries without any depth in the front court.
