Ehh.
I think this is just a division in preferences within the family. We'll see what side wins out.
Dont think you can characterize the kid as wanting any sort of attention as hes shown the exact opposite his whole recruitment

This just shows how little you know about Brian. The kid doesn’t tweet and doesn’t blow his Instagram up. He obviously isn’t seeking attention.. he just wants to take some time to make sure he’s making the right decision. I’d say that’s a mature thing to do, which is what a rational fan would want.. but not you, you just want him to decide when you want or frick off. Brian Thomas Jr is clearly more mature than you are.

Not signing today
Tells me Bama probably doesn't have room
LSU may hold a spot but that will give them three transfer slots or sign someone late
Who knows what's going on with Diggs as well
Notre Dame may be out of spots too

I know cbp....dude is totally immature. You are right.

According to Tigerbait's youtube show last night, he's likely NOT signing today.
Apparently, there is division between him and his family on where he should go. So maybe the decision comes later in the week.
Not really sure what happens with him....waiting may backfire on him and maybe there isn't a spot left for him at Bama or A&M but admittedly, I don't follow their recruiting as closely as LSU's.

This situation stinks to high heaven. I wouldn't blame LSU for just moving on.

Seems to me he wants LSU and dad wants elsewhere. By all accounts he’s a good kid

I think Brian knows where he wants to go. I also think the problem is he is torn between the parents pulling him in different directions, Mom wants him close, Dad apparently looking for a hand out. So from the outside looking in, IMO it's the parents that are making this so tough on the kid.
Classic case of a "House Divided". IMHO

LSU does not need a receiver. He's a luxury. We want him because we don't want rivals to pull local kids. That's it. That being the case, despite him being a baller and local, I would tend to go after actual need and roster depth. Especially if he's not sold on LSU. IMHO, if a local kid is still waffling in February, AND flirting with divisional rivals, that's him waving a red flag that he's just not that into LSU or there is family tension that could be messy long term. And really, I always lean towards guys that are ALL in. Now if this was a position of need, or if he were somehow an indispensable player, I'd play the game. But LSU is in the weird position of having so many Louisiana receivers to choose from that are actually dying for a scholarship. So go out and get guys at a more pressing position of need. After today if he's still unsigned, I'd OFFICIALLY move on from him. Just my two cents.

Brian Perroni, Aggie 247 mod, said the other day that its a close race with LSU and aTm but if he had to pick on the spot, he felt LSU would be the choice.
His dad is waiting on more cash. So when the check clears, BTJ will announce. We'll see.

Yep. This 2nd National Signing Day really surprised him. He has had almost no time to make a decision.
Not saying he is a bad kid, but obviously not very decisive.

I agree, but I think it would be nice to get a big receiver. Most of the guys we got are only like 5'11 to 6'.
Not saying we 100% need a big one, but would be nice.

Man I get this but how long does that take? I mean by now he has to know where he wants to go play college football!

Takes his time? He's been recruited for several years as a D1 prospect. So while 99% of the D1 prospects sign on NSD, most of which sign in the early signing period, he still needs time to figure it out? I say BS. While he may not blow up social media, he clearly enjoys the attention and clearly enjoys being chased. For the first time in his life he's holding all the cards, and he's loving every minute of it. So while you may rationalize this, this behavior clearly says something about the young man. Furthermore why would this riff between his family magically disappear "after" signing day? Nope he's loving it and wants a signing day all to himself.

It's not like major programs just started recruiting him last week. He's had PLENTY of time to make sure he's making the right decision. Another 3,4, 5 days isn't going to change that.
I don't think it's a case of him not being decisive as much as it is "adults" in his life prioritizing their OWN self-interests over his. I suspect HE knows where HE wants to go, but others are trying to influence him to go where THEY want him to go.

This. How long has the kid been recruited? Frosh? Soph? I understand taking your time to make a decision about your near future, however when YEARS arent enough to make that decision it gives one pause. GDT's
