Nice you Graduated from the school rather than just buying a T-Shirt! Well, if you live in Sugarland and I live in live in Kingwood neither one of us pay state income taxes so I highly doubt you you pay more in taxes than I. Anytime you want to meet up and compare checks I would love too!

But either way the thought we are losing on recruits is absolutely Stupid!

The results on the field sure do not show your sentiments!

If Gonzo leaves, LSU should go look up the coach at CAL that just wiped teh floor of the Army game. Jesus have mercy. I don't care what position he coaches; make it work.

I trust the staff's ability to evaluate talent over whatever the various recruiting services may say, and even they keep saying that LSU is recruiting top classes every season.

With that said, I would like us to close off Louisiana a bit better than we have been the past few seasons. I think the foundation of our program starts at home: allowing too many Louisiana kids, ones we really target, to slip away is not conducive toward keeping us among college football's elite.

You could take a shite boat load of money and donate to star juco quarterbacks father's church. Just a thought. Would probably help.

That's funny...and exactly my point. Is that what it's come to? Do we really have to start recruiting the GF's? Oh and I never said a friggin word about our "lack of talent" so GFY if you think I did.

Are our summer camps considered top notch?

Are our facilities still considered top notch? I know they were 10 years ago but what about right now?

Do we start our evaluations early enough? I was reading that CNS is getting to our La kids earlier than our coaches. If so, we need to (and can) change that.

I was looking for intelligent feedback...not BS smoke blown up the arse. Yes...we recruit very well...but can always get better.

LSU can do a better job of recruiting LBers; they never seem to get top 10 guys at that position.

QB - They're fine and have been the last 5 years with tons of 4* and 5* guys
RB - 4*s all over the place
OL - Deep and good
TE - Pretty good but it's a tough position at most places in college

DL - Do I really need to discuss this?
LB - The biggest weakness
DB - Have you seen the defensive backfield

So the only answer I have is TE and LB, and that is from an OSU fan who follows CFB quite a bit

Someone was talking about this on tigerbait the other day. They looked up how much teams spent on recruiting and bama spent more than double what we pay every year. I understand we recuit mostly louisiana and bama is nationwide but I would like to see us spending more money on this.

We both pay Fed tax and I know that I pay property tax. How about we put some money on this? You want to bet on this years W2 or on our property taxes? Let me know.

I don't know if I've ever seen a W-2 bet on the recruiting board. Having a small penis must suck.

Often in a state like Louisiana kids see LSU everywhere and like to be the primadona and go out of state. They get much more attention for leaving the state rather than staying at the obvious choice. Nothing wrong with that, sometimes they just want to get away from here. The grass is not always (very rarely is) greener at out of state schools. My biggest concern with those that make this choice is what will happen when things don't play out like they think? A kid like LC goes out of state and things don't work out like they expect what happens? The gaining University and State does nothing to help them. They come home to Louisiana and has burnt all bridges. A kids that stays home still has ties to the community and State and will get employment help. How many former LSU players are making great money even if they didn't make it pro? Plenty. They get a med sales or a nice insurance sales job and are taken care of. You leave, you better hope where you are going will take care of you in the long term, not just the short term.

SL Tiger you are a Moron and this is the reason you are taking so much BS as you call it!

We have a Top Ten Class every year if not top 5! This is out of 100+ FBS schools. Do you know how many Universities would love to have our so called problem according to you!

So, relax we are doing just fine and there is no problem with our facilities, camps or recruiting abilities!

Sit back relax and enjoy the Ride that Les and his staff are providing for us.

Stop all the Star Gazing from the "So Called" Experts and enjoy the fact that we basically get who we want in LA. and that is not going to change as long as Miles, Chavis and Krags are here.

Monday night we become the only Three time BCS Champion!!!!!!!

He wants to compare checks. I'm not going out of my way for nothing. I'm thinking most people that call others out on here are completely full of shite. I'll back up what I said.

I start a thread asking what we can do to be better at recruiting and get several smart arse responses. I give up. We shouldn't do anything better or different. I'm sure that CNS will get complacent...and probably won't be coming back to La anytime soon.

You also said we were having recruiting 'struggles' which is the reason for the smartass remarks. Quit being disengenuous about what provoked the snark. You engaged in a bit of hyperbole (or you really think we're 'struggling' in which case you're dumb no matter what your tax bracket), and if you're a regular visitor on the recruiting board, you know damn good and well the posters here will call you out on it.

there are two ways to judge recruiting success: success on the field and stars. Statistically speaking there is no difference in any of the top 5 recruiting teams, of wich LSU is one. Our on the field success speaks for itself.

The overall difference in recruiting rankings from spots 1-5 are minimal. I would rather put trust in our coaches for evaluating players, than in scouting companies and websites who are out to make a profit.

Our coaches gave scholarships to numerous 3 star players over potential 4 and 5 star players in the past few years. Mainly because they see more potential in some players over others, not because of the amount of "stars" they are graded with.

Being in the top 10 of recruiting year in and out is all we need, from there the main thing is motivating and developing players.

HAHA every college has nice facilities. Any team that has won a bcs trophy has just as good if not better facilities.

It really isnt as easy to recruit LSU as people think. Top notch programs have been getting LA players for years. Our high school rosters are filled with athletes, lack of lbs(not this year) and qbs in our state. This year seems like a lack of big men, but last year was really good.
