I was under the impression there was a visit today...
I believe Les, Brick and Chavis are in NC today. I can't imagin they would fly cross-country today, but who knows? Maybe they sent Frank and C. Raymond to close the deal, but that really isn't Les' style. My guess is that the head man will be in AZ tomorrow or wed to make his final pitch.

Announcing it's final on the same day that you're talking to coaches in person.... that makes me feel like he told those coaches he wanted to play for them.

If he was committing to UCLA I feel like he'd have tweeted that it was "final" on Sunday.

eta: 3 people in the other thread said there was an in-home with him today

His interview today was very pro-ucla. That could definitely change after LSU coaches visit, but this was the first time in his recruitment that I've seen him mention distance as a factor.

Perhaps, but my understanding is that he was meeting with LSU coaches some time this week, not necessarily today.

This would make sense. Let's hope that Les and Chavis are boarding a plane to meet up with him at the Willis house as we speak.

Him saying its final a day after his ucla visit can't be a good thing for LSU. I hope he visits us anyway!

Knee jerk reaction much? He knew that the coaches were gonna visit him today so he takes a visit to UCLA and then listens to the LSU pitch and makes a decision. Not good or bad one way or another

Priest visited on Dec 14 and Goodman didn't even fill out his paperwork for the visit he scheduled last weekend, so no.

Let's just be honest with ourselves for a minute. Ignoring football altogether, would you take a full ride to UCLA or LSU? To put it in a positiger light, it just goes to show you how fantastic the football program and athletic department are to be able to pull a kid like Hayden Rettig to Louisiana or make Priest Willis seriously consider it.

That's a great point. But not because of the college experience or anything like that. UCLA athletes are pretty much unrecognizable in Westwood. Attendance at their games is pathetic. But the campus is pretty much in the middle of Beverly Hills between Sunset and Wilshire Blvd. So if you want to follow movie stars and entertainers around town, then ucla is definitely the place. You could literally see a celebrity every day if you're paying attention. Playing championship football, not so much. People may be a little bit surprised about the players we can pull from that area down the road if they are really serious about football.
