Lester Earl, I think the play of the back up OLinemen is what is upsetting not the prime starters on OLine. With injury, seizure/ dehydration the apple cart is turned over. Therefore, more quality OLinemen are needed. Yaw Yaw in his last two years was not focused on the ole ballgame. He screwed LSU to the tune of 17 million $$$.

The RBs had 12 carries for 17 yards yesterday. Our interior OL is bad.

We didn’t even try to run the ball (that’s coming from our coaches mouth) and I did see holes that were made in every game this year that our running backs just don’t see. You can’t run into the middle of a DL when it’s an obvious run down and distance. You have to sustain drives and get the defense guessing to have success against most SEC teams.

I’m not saying this is the best OL we can hope for but they aren’t so bad that we can’t establish a run game. The play calling has to be in sync with what’s going on in the game. I didn’t see any attempts to the outside either. We will have to be more creative with our play calling to help our team out.

We could run much more RPO’s and use the option to our advantage. The QB may not have had the most time but he had plenty of time most of the game. It was obvious passing downs where we got pressure and the play calling needs to counter that or the QB has to see that and change the play so it hurts the defense when they send pressure. That is how you help your OL. Those things help with confidence and at the same time, it slows the defense down.

These next practices should be nothing but countering the blitzes we could see with quick plays, RPO’s, Option offense, and down field passing when the WRs are 1 on 1. How the WRs should attack a zone and where to pass vs a zone and also how to attack man coverage and where to pass in man coverage, even when the WR looks covered. Every time we just threw the ball to our WR’s, even when they had a man close to them, our WRs caught the ball.

We could have tore Tennessee up in the deep passing attack and if we ran an RPO style of offense with option runs mixed in. Send WRs on deep crosses even when you run option to the outside and if they get open, pass that ball so they can’t count on you running the ball every time you start to the outside. Be more creative and create havoc for the defense! We have athletes, use them. If we did this and then mixed in motion with our WRs taking the ball on the motion or fake the give and run option, send the other WRs and TEs down field and throw that ball where only your WR can get to it, we could tear any team up with this type of offense. We have the athletes to run this type of offense.

Our defense would gain confidence and we’d see more sacks and more TOs. We have to find more ways to get our best WRs the ball more. Have to find a way to attack the outside in the run game. Have to find a way to get our WRs open and slow the defenses down from just attacking our backfield. We can do it, and it needs to happen.

Running into a stacked box every down… little chance of success.

And left with 8 figures and a smile, he and Alleva should be jailed for stealing, murder(the program) and Alleva for masterminding the crime.
