We need so much help on the defensive side

We need 2 corners, 1 safety/nickel, 2 DT, 2 DE, 1/2 LB

Saivion is it at DE - we don't don't what we are getting with Wiggins but more importantly need depth. Gaye and BJ had to play almost 99% of snaps this season

Smith, Guillory, Mingo at DT - assuming Roy leaves early which is most likely. We need depth here to rotate and help late season stretch injury bug

Perkins/Tolan at LB - need serious help here

Welch/Allen/Banks - at corner, need serious help here

Burns - maybe Brooks if he comes back which would be nice. Need help here. Sage and Langlois aren't sec quality at all.

You’re writing off a lot of players and totally discounting others.

Not surprising for you, but just chill idiot

If we get Ricks and Toviano then CB is set for 3 years. Kylin Jackson looks to be an SEC caliber safety as well. That’s on top of young guys like Jordan Allen.

Linebacker is a hodgepodge group but I think Penn and Tolan will make for a formidable duo. Perkins will assume the BJO role next season.

DE should be fine with Jones and Wiggins and guys like Womack and Howard coming in.

We need a true nose. Guillory is closest to being that but a true 0/1 tech is needed that can dominate center/guard combos. Wingo has been a bright spot but assuming Roy does pro that leaves you with 3 proven DTs in Wingo, Guillory, and Maason Smith. I have no confidence in Langston or the other guys coming on early so getting 1-2 transfers is important as well as 2 freshmen.

Perkins is going to move inside
He’s not big enough to play Jack. I think Womack ends up there - they want someone more in the Will Anderson mold to play jack

The best pass rusher we’ve seen in years is moving to ILB?

You explicitly wrote off Langlois and Ryan.

You didn’t mention guys like Bryce Langston, Tygee Hill, Zavier Carter.

Some players take time

Langlois was always going to be a project especially sec caliber.

Ryan has had 2 full seasons and hasn't made a single play in the secondary. This kid was a 5 star recruit and he hasn't played like it at all.

I thought Langston would definitely be in the rotation this season especially with Smith hurt but he hasn't played at all. Maybe he can develop but the point remains we still need a bunch of DL depth outside of 1 back up.

Hill was always going to be a project just like Langlois. Maybe he can develop.

Carter has been with the program for a while now and doesn't have the frame for a Jack position but also is undersized for linebacker. He's kind of in a weird spot and hasn't sniffed the field at all. Little has gotten few snaps ahead of him and that's another kid that just never developed at all.

He only played in 4 games last year and redshirted.

It's way too early to throw the towel in on him.

Tolan is going to be good. If penn is ever going to be good he has to get tougher.

Exactly. They need at least 2 from the portal at de/edge. At least 1 starter and 1 top backup at the very least.

yep... like a siki ika ... gonna have to get 1-2 out of the portal.

Maason & Wingo play the 3s

you need a jack, and 40 aint big enough, hes gotta play inside.

need corners at least 1 to go with Sevyn Banks and I would get Roy to stay another year, he wont go until late rounds. and you would have two line sets with him and Guillory, All 4 of those guys are 3 Tech 290/300lb guys. Guillory could gain 20-30 lbs and be one NT...

Brooks and Foucha out of Eligibility?

Well, that’s all we heard before the season started was how deep the Dline was going to be this year.

Have we not had a good defensive line this year? Did I miss something ?

He said deep - didn't mention anything about being good.

We aren't deep at all. Saivion and Guillory are the only people to sub in all season.

Depending on how this DL class finishes, we’re going to have to hit the portal hard. 2 decommits in the last few days is not ideal. This is the risk you take by going after kids a long way from your campus.

I remember early in season BK saying the depth along the Oline and Dline is where it needs to be. Of course we already new that.

OLine depth trending up with Heard and others coming in.

As far as DL with Maason Smith and Wingo back that helps, but if Roy leaves were paper thin as far as productive big bodies up front.
