pyramid was awesome. commercial appeal always thinks its gonna get the bid to be some sort of outdoors store.

Yeah now that you say that, thats the rumor I have heard. I don't know what kind of outdoors shop...I think maybe a Cabelas? Bass Pro is already in Memphis if I remember right.

Sweet. Well maybe we can get a few of us together.

it really was like that. they just knocked down some bars and put up an nba forum.

where are you from?

It was definitely worth the money. Now it is time for the team to actually put butts in the seats. It is pathetic the turn out for games. It can't get above 5,000.

Those things are all over the place. I had never really thought of it much, but Midtown really is Memphis (I wasn't taking it as literal as before)

Maybe, maybe he could be Owen Schmitt to a future LSU backfield of Russell Sheppard and Lache Seastrunk .

I agree, he seems to be a solid athlete on both sides of the ball.

+1. Looked very impressive on film running the ball.

Wow, all this Memphis talk. I just gotta jump in.

I grew up in New Orleans, but my family homeland is Monroe. Memphis always made me feel very "at home", I guess because it's a lot more like North Louisiana than New Orleans is. I always had a lot of friends in Memphis, and I visited the city many many times.

When Katrina put my New Orleans house under 9 feet of water, it was a no-brainer to relocate to Memphis. The wife and I eventually bought a house here around 2 years ago. We're in Midtown, right by Rhodes College. We love it. I wouldn't live anywhere but Midtown. I mean, crime is a bit of an issue, but I moved here from New Orleans, so I know the rules and I can't see it as a step down.

I still miss a lot of things about New Orleans and Baton Rouge, but I love Memphis. I wish I could find a central gathering place for LSU people. I went to a place way the hell out in Cordova to watch the Final Four run in 2006, but isn't there some place in Midtown or Downtown where LSU people gather?

He looks just like a wing that Ruston had in 1999 by the name of Jack Hunt. Great running skills and could do whatever on the field: block, catch, lock down on D, return game.

Good post. It sounds like we have a ton of LSU fans in Memphis. We should all get together at a local bar for one of the games. How about the App State game??

I would but I have season tickets so I will be at the game...it would probably have to be a road game for me.
