I have never understood why people would want a less talented LA player over a more talented out-of-state player.

I just don't get it.

and the crazy part of all these "Recruit our own Louisiana players 1st" post pertaining to Seastrunk is:

Lache is originally from Louisiana anyway!
Can't you guys starting these posts accept him as at least partially one of our own?

I really hope we sign Blue and Seastrunk. We are always going to need running backs.

It is starting to get close to February, the rantards are starting to invade.

What do you mean? By the way, can we still get Janzen Jackson? I hear he may be available soon.

Everybody wanted Ryan Perriloux (Louisiana kid) and got positively giddy when he switched from Texas to LSU. As a result of his switch, Colt McCoy (Texas kid) switched from LSU to Texas. How did that work out?

I'll take a great player from anywhere, although all things being equal I'd lean to the homegrown Louisiana player. In the end, though, you've got to leave it to the coaches/scouts to figure out which prospect is the better player or the better fit for the program. It's always a crapshoot.

If you read the initial thread, there is no mentioning of Tex-La comparison.

actually you said:

Lets take a second ponder, does Seastrunk play in a better classification than Blue. I highly doubted it.

Ignoring that lack of punctuation, proper tense and the nonsensical nature of the beginning of your statement, Seastrunk plays in Texas 5A and Blue plays in Louisiana 5A. By saying that Temple's classification wasn't better than the class that Blue played in, you were insinuating that LA 5A is better than Texas 5A.

quote:

You must be one of those fans that found a negative after LSU spanked OSU in 2007 and thinks Miles should be fired.

Actually, I am on of the more positive posters on this board. I am a pretty firm supporter of Miles and usually try to talk sense into "negatigers".

As far as the head to head matchup of Blue's team and Lache's team, Temple would probably lose, but that's even more of a testament to what Seastrunk has achieved.

I'm pretty sure that's just a legend of the Rant. All reliable accounts I have heard said that McCoy was always going to UT.

Graeculi, you need to stop wasting your time with Seastrunk and let our coaching staff do the work.

McCoy was never going anywhere but Texas.
