It really seems like Bama was just early to the party. Probably had prior discussions.

Corey Raymond went and visited him in person last week. So I don’t think bama had this done before lsu even reached out

As soon as Bama offered it spread they were the leader and going to tough to beat. LSU went in to pitch but we're already behind. I mean he's jus a CB not a DT so not that big of an issue

Kinda sad that the GOAT leaves, they have a new guy who’s never coached in the SEC before, and kids still would rather jump there than come to BR.
We have one of the most stable situations in the country at the HC position, and it apparently means nothing.

The mystique of Alabama hasnt worn off yet especially with Saban still hanging around campus. Give it a couple years.

I’m not trying to shite on our recruiting, especially out of HS.
More so shocked that Bama could hold this standard even after Saban walks out and quite frankly, the new guy is not that proven.
We just seem to have so many of the pieces (stability at HC, great assistant coaches, program trajectory etc.) that I thought we’d move into a top 3 destination station for players.
Seems like we’re doing that on the offensive side at least.

How? Literally every last person that gave our defense a bad reputation is gone, and every last person that was brought in is a known entity.
What could another program point at with the current staff and say negatively?

As a DB it’s very easy to negatively recruit LSU. Raymond’s secondaries in the last 4 years have been absolutely awful. I’ll get a ton of downvotes, but the truth is the truth.

Did anyone commenting in this thread think that Bama likely told him to jump into the portal and come there? As soon as he entered, he immediately had a visit lined up with Bama.
