right...who said anything about forgetting his senior year????

Post his senior year stats.

Then put = THE BEST HS QB IN THE COUNTRY

Then you'll see how stupid that looks.

Sure he looked leaps and bounds better than most of the other QBs, but it was 1 performance and it wasn't even a real game.

They obviously think that his motion, decision making, accuracy, arm strength etc etc is worth the number one spot.

What was his TD/INT ratio this past year?

No more foolish than putting the person who can throw the ball the farthest as the best HS football player in the nation.

Arm strenght is WAAAYYYYY overrated IMHO. DBs can catch a ball shot out of a cannon just as well as WRs if the "cannon" makes a poor decision as to where he should aim.

Because that automatically determines how well he will do when surrounded by genuine talent versus a scrub high school team.

Luke, you hit the nail on the head. The #1 player in the nation SHOULD DOMINATE at any level in high school. He obviously didn't do that.
One game shouldn't make that big of a difference in the rankings. It is kinda like to dumb*ss NFL GMs that draft solely on a single combine or all-star performance.

However, the guy looked very impressive in that scrimmage and seems to have a lot of potential. He will probably light it up at USC too. Guess we will have to see.

INT's can happen for alot of reasons besides a QB's decision making and accuracy. Unless close to every game the guy played, you saying he shouldn't be ranked #1 because of stats is just as incorrect as evaluating on one game.

Or put it this way. A great player can have a bad season. A mediocre player is way less likely to step up on that All Star game, national TV stage and show what Barkley did.

It was a scrimmage basically. All the rules they have for the defense helps the offense a lot more. They can't blitz, so the most the O-line gets is a 4 man rush. The pick he threw was a stupid pass that the safety read him the whole way, so good decision-making right. He had a few more passes that should have been picked but were dropped. Also, let's give Barkley the other teams o-line and see how he does then. His o-line dominated while Sheppard had to run for his life every single play

OK, my bad.

He can throw the ball real far. CLEARLY, he's leaps and bounds above anyone else out there.

The decision making that led to almost what 2-3 picks in that game? I am not saying he doesn't have an arm. He does throw a beautiful ball but his biggest knock imo is that he seems to throw a pick for every 1.5-2 TD he throws. I didn't see anything last weekend to make me think that he has significantly improved in his decision making to warrant a boast in his grade.

The recruiting services put way too much emphasis on the all star games, that is clear.

Although, how on earth is Teo that high? What did he do in his bowl game session, practices and the actual game? If anything Jelani Jenkins should be higher than him, without a doubt.

dont understand them dropping randle, he was hurt all week and still dominated in practice and the game and the qbs sucked. maybe bc he played in the army game it hurt him instead of playing in the ua game that they cover.

This is a huge understatement. That's like me saying Russell Shepard is fast.

its all about what game u commit to, really. its no surprise the top 3 players on that list played in the UA game.
