quote:

“I will say that any school can get me at the moment. My recruitment is completely open,” Sopsher said. “I also don’t care how close the school is to home. That doesn’t matter. If this school is going to prepare me for the NFL and get me a good education and I feel very comfortable there, that’s the school I’m going to be at no matter where it is.”

It sounds as if Sopsher believes that Alabama is one of those schools that fits what he’s looking for.

“Alabama is always going to treat you right,” he said. “The hospitality is always great when you go there. Every time I go there, I just feel very comfortable. It didn’t feel any different this time.

quote:

“With Alabama, it’s all about competing. It doesn’t matter where you go, but you’re going to have to compete. That’s just the way it goes. They told me that Isaiah Buggs is leaving after this year and Raekwon Davis may leave early. There are definitely spots open, but it doesn’t matter to me. They can put me anywhere and I’m going to compete.”

quote:

“Alabama is a championship-caliber team, and I feel like LSU is also a championship-caliber team, too,” Sopsher said. “But, it’s all about the physicality and the work they put in on and off the field at Alabama. I’m not saying LSU isn’t dedicated to themselves, but Alabama always outworks its opponent every week.”

quote:

The 5-star prospect has said he won’t announce his college decision until National Signing Day in February. He doesn’t have any leaders and no schools are standing out from others. He said he felt like LSU was recruiting him the hardest only because it is the in-state school.

Two words: He. Gone.

Yep. We’ve seen this play out before. I can spot the weird, arrogant, no-personality tone that kids who know they’re going to Bama end up developing from a mile away these days. Honestly don’t even give a shite anymore

It’s a loss, he is a good talent but we will replace him with someone just as good or better.
losing the best defensive lineman in the nation that resides in Louisiana to Alabama is fricking crushing. O is supposed to be a great recruiter and Dline guru. he can't afford to lose this kid to bama. He said he was putting a wall around Louisiana lets see if he can do it. O needs to get this kid.

You are right. This is the one O can’t afford to lose. If we lose this guy, better win at least ten games with Bama being one of those wins.

Can’t beat Bama if they continue to come into our state and cherry pick it’s best talent. And we can’t get the best talent unless we start beating Bama. It’s one fricked up paradigm.

We haven’t lost a game in 10 years because our athletes weren’t as good or better than our opponents.
you simply can't see clearly. There's a reason O had to rebuild the trenches. We've had the skill players but not the trenches or qbs, the most important aspects of football.

I thought this was the most telling quote as to intentions.....

If signing day was today — he gone. Still a lot of time for a lot of things to happen though. With that said, I wouldn’t hold a place for him if another good player wanted his spot though ala Goodrich for Surtain fiasco.

I feel like that's almost every great DL prospect. The ones in Louisiana spend majority of games matched against OL that are barely 200 soaking wet. They could have absurd numbers if they went all out more.

Our deffense is sick bro, can’t lose if they can’t score. Are you a tiger fan or a pretend to be?

Bro, we had what was pretty much the #1 defense in the country in 2011 (don't care what Bama stats say, we played Oregon and West Virginia while they played Penn St), and still gave up 6 points to an average Bama offense. We gave up only 10 point in 2016, and still lost.

Now that they have a legit passer in Tua and are more loaded at the skill positions than ever before, who in the hell do you expect to hold them to 10 points? We have to score, and that's still the huge question mark.

If you beat Bama, you will have to do it in a shootout. I'm telling you right now Tua will be the best QB they've had this century.

Didn't we only have like 3-4 DL dressed this game?

IDK, but we have 3 DT recruits that will be enrolling this summer:
Dare Rosenthal 6'7 327
Nelson Jenkins 6'3 290
Dominic Livingston 6'3 340

That's some big boys there.

so just because they dont' go to lsu that means they are lazy, is that what you are suggesting?

Bottom line is with Saban there they will pull some players we recruiting but tbh we pull a bunch from them and Texas and Mississippi. Bottom line is we need to have a better offense and QB, we need to have a better offense philosophy in general.

There can only be one bottom line. It’s science.
