Article from NOLA about unclaimed LA Recruits:
Unclaimed Louisiana gems for Class of 2010
Written by Rene Nadeau Friday, 09 October 2009
There are still a few “unclaimed gems" in regard to Louisiana recruits for the 2010 signing period. A larger majority of blue chip players have already cast their lot with the school of their choice, but a handful of players are receiving national attention as we approach National Signing Day, which is just 4 months away.
Here is a sampling of what I mean...
Trovon Reed, Thibodaux Considered the top recruit in this year's signing class.
Alfred Blue, Hahnville RB
James Wright, Belle Chasse WR
Munchie LeGaux, Edna Karr QB Ashton Duhe, Destrehan OG D.J. Lewis, Haynesville RB
Frankie Jackson, Capitol RB Luke Charpentier, John Curtis OG Harold Legania, Edna Karr DT
David Bell, Live Oak QB
Thomas Bridgewater, Evangel WR
Glenn Coleman, West Jeff WR
Alex Hill, Slidell OG
Seth Ancar, South Plaquemines LB
James Gillum, Pearl River RB

I know he doesnt have the size...But Seth Ancar was the best Defensive player i saw all year. With 25 schollies, you have to have room for a guy like this...Does he have grade issues..If we gonna take chances on guys, you know will have to leave (attrition) cause of the 85 rule..This guy is perfect..If he doesnt make it can be at Nicholls and flurish...Dont understand this at all

Is he the big arse full back or the tailback? I know Vidalia played them last week and got crushed.

The most impressive kid I've seen in LA all year is Evangel's kicker/punter. That kid is ridiculously good. Wish LSU would pay more attention to special teams and just how much they can change a game.

Generally listed at 5'11" and 185-195 lbs with 4.5-4.55 speed, he is their workhorse. Through week 6, he leads the State in scoring with 25 TD and a few PAT. Has 179 carries for 1,366 yards (7.63 apc) rushing and can catch the ball. This is with teams focusing their defensive game plan almost solely on him. Benches 315. NOLA calls him a "poster child" for underestimated players. May go Sun Belt to ULL or Arkansas State. Northern ILL also interested through some connection.

Jeremy Meyers from St Michael, after tonight he will have over 1600yds passing after missing one game, so thats through 6 games. Impressive considering he is not surrounded by talent like some other players

Meyers is a good one. He projects as a safety in college. A very good all-around athlete and good kid. Well built and thick. Throwing more this year, but not running nearly as much, probably because of knee. Scelfo is a very good tight end and 2, 4 and 7 are fast and good receivers too though with good yards after catch. I still can't get over their 61-60 win vs. Istrouma with only 1 OT....when I first heard the score, I figured several OT's.

We only have 3 more spots plus a grey shirt or two. We need RB,WR,and DT.

there is no reason to grey shirt anyone in this class since we already have shortage of spots for the next class and the most loaded class in Louisiana in about 10 years.
