We finished 7th in 2017. Do you mean 2018 when we finished 15th? And still, 15th. That's considered a disaster.

Two of those guys are OLBs, and even if they put their hands on the ground some, they're still OLBs the vast majority of the time, same as Chaisson and Key.
How often have you seen these guys play standing up or in coverage? They're DE's called OLB's in name only.

I don’t think the current 22 will all be here in December/February. No inside information but there are always “parting of ways” or flips. It also seems there is always a late surprise pick up. My guess (and it’s purely a guess) is we lose two, maybe three and replace them with quality players.

I agree. I think LSU has the ability to land 4-5 more kids due to 1-2 kids currently committed that will end up elsewhere. That is if the ones they have higher on their board want aboard.

Berry might be a good OL candidate along with Jackson.

I think we finish up the class with
Guillory, Evans, VanPran, Dumerville, and Moore

the numbers will work themselves out

the 2017 class was solid top to bottom and only Lowell Narcisse transferred out as far as I can see. Also Seth Stewart never showed up.

We must get Dumervil. Have to start getting quality offensive tackles if we really want to win.

It should be first come first serve from here

I doubt O and staff will hold spots for players, unless they have reliable confirmation someone is def going to sign with them. That being said, there have been some players in the last couple years that told LSU they were coming and at the last minute didn't. I hate losing Louisiana players, but if there's a player just as good from out of state that's ready to sign come DEC, yea, take them. IDK if O wants to fill all spots in Dec or if he only wants to sign a certain amount and sign the rest in Feb. Just don't want to lose out on someone because we waited on someone else.

So let me ask this question. Once we get a total of 25 commits, can any other recruit commit verbally as well without us dropping one 1st. Or does it only matter that you have your best and final list down to 25 on NSD? I was never totally sure of how that process works...

Commitments don’t make any difference.

You can have as many commits as want to commit. There is not limit on how many recruits verbally commit. But come time to sign you can only have 25 sign LOI. So LSU could have 100 players commit before signing day, but only 25 actually sign LOI's. I mean, if a player really wants to go to LSU they could actually greyshirt their first year and be put on scholarship the next season. They'd have to pay their own way the first year though. In a case like that LSU could have their 25 scholarship recruits and the greyshirt. And their is no limit to how many players greyshirt, as far as I know. But you must remember they will get scholarships the next season and that will count against the 25 that class. Hope this answered your question.

I hope it's Not Berry that gets processed I believe his best days are ahead of him. I really liked his tape.

Really like Berry, ….don't forget Cody Ford. And greyshirting or blueshirting is what handcuffed Les at KU for the 2019 class. Also, really skeptical of Juco DEs not getting blocked much,...too many straight paths.

In 2018 they gave us no credit for the licker and long snapper that is about the whole difference. If you give credit for Burrow and Tracey and Alexander you get a much different picture. Btw the negative crap that comes from A small part of the fan base and a good bit of the local media really hurt 2016 2017 and 2018. Recruiting

The kicker and long snapper were part of the 2019 class.
