Tyler Shelvin was a monster at the UAAA game on Sunday.

Tyler Shelvin along with Marvin Wilson and Rashard Lawrence and Ed Alexander along our frontline is perhaps gonna make up the very best defensive line in LSU history. I'm almost 100% sure Wilson will sign with LSU. I saw Shelvin more than hold his own against Alex Leatherwood on Sunday morning. Man this is extremely exciting to see. Feedback please LSU fanatics!!

Why are you 100% sure on Marvin

Why are you 100% on wilson?

Until I see Wilson in Purple and Gold on the practice field, I won't believe it. Not even if and when he picks us on NSD.
That said, if we close with Wilson, Shelvin & Mathis and keep boys like Thomas...
We might just have the best front 4 in the SEC and by extension, CFB as long as they stay healthy and develop.
Hopefully we can get another thumper like Devin White behind them and this team will win games coming off the bus. We need an NFL type front 7, major intimidation factor.

I think there is about a 0% chance we get both Wilson and Mathis.

I have a nephew that goes to school with Wilson and is in some of his classes. He said he is going to LSU just last week. He wants to stay close to home so his mom can watch him play. Plus his mom is from Louisiana.

Why? Bama isn't going to get them on the field any faster.

The D Line will go from being good to great next year. You have Lac, Alexander, Thornton, Logan, Gilmore, Clark, Herron (if he can get his act together), Shelvin, and whoever else we sign out of Wilson and Mathis. That is a deep and nasty front three. No more undersized fronts with Gimore having to play DT.
As good as Godchaux was and as much as he will be missed, the maturation of the young guys and the depth will make the 2017 D Line better.

Between our depth chart / current class and the fact we are fighting 2 other premier schools for them.
Mathis is LSU or Bama
Wilson is LSU or FSU
As for your comment - how does Bama keep getting LBs? FSU getting RBs?

They've been doing that a long time. Moses was Bama a long time ago. It looks like Allen had his mind up a while back too. They take the top LBs from everywhere.
Mathis hasn't given any indication that he for sure wants to leave the state.

Akers isn't from Louisiana. Cook gone from FSU. Guice still at LSU next season.

FSU has 1 5-star on the roster already in Jacques Patrick and signed 4-star Amir Rasul last year and have 2 4-stars and Akers signed this year. They're way more crowded in the backfield than LSU.

Which of those guys is a Heisman candidate?

I was really wondering what game he was saving his domination for this year. I'm glad we finally saw it.
He certainly didn't dominate the powerhouses like Sacred Heart, W St. Mary, Delcambre, and Jeanerette.

christ with our depth at LB we need all the DLs we can get, we might have to play the worlds first 7-0-4 defense

I think we're more likely to see a 6-1-4 or a 5-1-5. Gotta have Devin White out there.

I think we land Marvin and Tyler stays his fat arse right where it needs to be. Along with the 2016 guys, i.e. Ed and Devin, this is gonna be a monster front.
