We need an instant impact at ILB. This guy is a multi year starter and no tampering to get him to a higher level like SEC. If he was graded as such he would've already made the leap.

We don't need depth guys. We have that already. We need an ILB who can lock the middle down and be consistent something Penn is not. It shouldn't be difficult to find a higher end ILB in the portal and convince them their stock will go up playing behind someone like Mason Smith. If they can somehow get Roy back that would be an even bigger selling point.

I think some p5 schools tried to talk him into being a dlineman, but he has more than proven he can play LB, especially if you saw him vs SEC and ACC teams. He is likely to get big 12 and sec offers.
