Auburn actually, according to his LSU bio

That had to be a misprint in the participation report or he just happened to be in for the first play due to the formation. He only caught 3 passes the whole season. Reed, Myers, and Robinson were the guys on that team.
Booty and Bech are really the only two who started or played a lot in the last 20 or so years. ETA: And Scott Ray, around the same time as Bech.

Scott was one of the most exciting HS players I ever saw. Wish there were some highlight reels around of his days with CHS in the late 80's.

What about the brothers Kinchen (Todd?). One was a tight end, but the other was a wide out who returned kicks too...right?

Yeah, Todd was a WR but was a couple years before Ray and Bech.

2014 is loaded with pass catchers so his committing early doesn't surprise me. He needs to get a spot before it's too late

Right, because so many players have offers already. . .

Don't forget the Kentucky game, per Hawthorn.

What, did you completely forget the Blue Grass Miracle?
Posted on 7/19/12 at 7:58 am to SUhickory12
he is the jacob hester of WRs

i remember Mississippi State wasn't moving Smoot around at all so LSU would just line up Jack Hunt in front of him every play so he wouldn't cover a good WR.

This would be huge.

This. It doesn't matter that he is white this kid can play ball--period. Anyone who doubts his ability needs to see him play against real competition.
Its like 1st grade reading. See the ball. Get the ball. Run with the ball. Spike the ball. Game over.
