Bama Lock. Even though he won't qualify or be eligible, he will be admitted under the "special" program Eddie Lacy was admitted under.

His dad loves Lsu but He likes Tamu. Saw him play severak times and work with folks who are close to his family. Tamuis the new Usc now and kids wanna play with Manzel. Their offense is a wr offense. Lsu offense is a rb by community offense that relies on one wr or maybe two. Kids see whats going on. Quinn is a goid receiver but Rummel exposed him. It will be interesting nextbyear when he is the focal point and Desean is gone. We will see how good he really is. Kids who played with him tell me he is not
An Sec Type wr cause SEC dbs will lock him up.

you ever heard of a system player?? That's what he will be if he goes to a & m and it will hurt his draft status. Is that relevant enough for you?

Yes, it was clearly devastating to Florida WR's under Spurrier or Michael Crabtree from TTU.

Deluding yourself into thinking that going to Texas A&M will make him a "system" player and hurt his draft stock not only doesn't make it true, it won't affect his decision. A lot going in LSU's favor to get him. He can't go wrong where ever he goes.

okay, not pushing, just nudging. These Coaches need to be reminded what State they work in.

That's a BS statement and proves you couldn't be a coach. I am a high school coach. I love LSU as much as anyone, but my job is to put that child in the best position to succeed, period. If it is LSU, then great. If it's Texas A&M great, but I am going to what is in the best interest of that young man and not because I have a selfish rooting interest with the in-state school.

He can play but what happens when coverages shift toward his way when Desean is gone. I was at the superdome for the CG and Quinn barely did anything. His hands are exceptional and his speed is good. I just dont see Lsu offense benefiting him umless significant changes are made. He will be an awesome slot wr in the right system. This upcoming year will tell Us a lot about Quinn when teams will gear their defense to stop him.

Good post by hs coach. Your kids are top priority not Lsu or Ull or etc. Its all about finding the right school for Your kids. Makes no sense to send a kid to ride the bench for 4yrs and he could be playing ssomewhere else.

Damnit, I'm glad it's not all pure stupidity in here. LSU fans bitch incessantly about our offense but expect top WRs to commit on the spot, expect coaches to push kids to LSU blindly and without regard for whats best for the kid's interest, and will claim the kids not smart if he doesn't play at LSU. Add that in with some already spewing shite about him not being as good as advertised, I think we've heard the four cornerstones of stupidity in a recruiting thread. However, I have no doubt someone will come and blow the doors off of the previously mentioned stupidity.

Didn't A&M just sign 10 WR's? If that is the case I think that will weigh heavily in his decision. Also, we will have to see what Cameron comes in and does for our Offense. If we are still looking like the past few years, who can blame him for looking elsewhere? Personally, I think the O is about to take off, but I rarely take off my P&G glasses.

Somebody will produce out 10 reciever's playing with jff so I say his chance of playing early is slim to none.

It's all comparative. A&M is constantly using 3-4 WR. LSU does not. A&M did sign a ton of WR, but I don't think competition is something that will scare Trey. There are four stud WR in the state of LA this year. Should he not sign with LSU if they get all four? I think this years O will play heavily into his decision and it should. I don't think LSU will ever be "passing" team but if balance can be found, LSU will be scary good and it will translate in recruiting these WRs.

Really? So for the past three years high school defenses have not been defending him or gearing up to stop him? There are several high school defensive coordinators that will get a good chuckle out of that statement.

I DO agree with you that with Desean gone you will see more teams do what Rummel did, and that is basically triple team him. Trey is a team player and I am sure he will be happy for his other WR teammates that benefit from that.

There are also several that were at LSU camp this past summer laughing at the other post about whether he can get open against good DBs. That was addressed at LSU and TAMU camp. SEC coaches will not offer kids who cannot play.

This whole thread sucks. If an Aggie, a HS coach, and Linkovich are the most logical people here, that's an issue.

There is an argument to be made for taking all 4 HS WRs and Dhaquille Williams if he can qualify. I'm working it right now, may post it later today in its own thread.

ETA: On Dahquille, is there any doubt that he was supposed to be named Shaquille, but for the fat fingers of the person typing the birth certificate. I mean, who hasn't put a 'D' where an 'S' should be? (That last sentence can be taken out of context)
