So are you back for good!?

Quinones would have been the first guard off the bench and would’ve probably been one of the top 3pt shooters on the team as a true freshman. I’d say that’s a need on a team that collectively struggled from 3 a year ago

Well who needs that...our administration acted with an abundance of caution bc there was so much proof that Wade broke rules ya know? At least we got that

Charles Manning says hello. I agree that i think we need 1 more guard to fill out the line up. I think Graves will see some minutes this year. Probably in the 5 mins a game range. You have Bishop to back up Smart and Manning to back up Mays. Then you have Graves after those 2 guys. However, i would have liked to get Quinones for depth. After next year, Mays and Graves will be gone and its a possibility Smart could leave for the draft. That will leave us pretty thin at the guard position.

Not a great 3 point shooter, he's a scorer, not really a shooter.
Hyatt will help in shooting dept. but we absolutely need to go out and find another true shooter. Biggest weakness on this past year's team has to be addressed

Damn. We just saw Bubba Hotep’s first post in 7 years. Who saw that coming?
If Wade thinks he needs another 3 point shooter he will bring one in. Juco...grad transfer...idk.
I expect the team as a whole to shoot a little better from 3 and Hyatt and Graves can help in that department.
I think landing a Sy or similar big to go along with Watford is more important than Q.

Manning shot 29% from 3 as a freshman and 37% as a sophomore. Maybe he continues to improve from there, but our team has yet to see someone come in from juco and match their 3pt production from there. Hell, Marlon Taylor shot 40% from 3 in juco.

He improved, but he also only shot a little over 3 a game (3.33), so it's not a shot he leans on at all.

44% actually, and he even took it at a higher volume than Manning. Over 5 a game (5.39).

This is the JUCO shooter I want us to look at:
Tomas Woldetensae
Shot 48% from 3 on 7.5 3 pointers per game (210 of his 336 shots were from 3, or about 63% of his shots were from 3) . He's also 6'5 195.

I actually thing Manning will be a better, and more natural replacement for Taylor than Mays. He’s not the same athlete (nobody is) but he’s much more polished and should be able to create more offense

The big questions is....when is Watford committing?

It should be soon I’m shocked he hasn’t committed yet

Skylar has to shoot better next year. I think early in the season you saw the potential he has as a shooter. His set shooting is really a pretty easy and fluid shot, but you can tell he gets really down on himself when it doesn't go in.
Darius Days will be a knockdown 3-point shooter next year, and supposedly Hyatt was considered one of the best 3-point shooters coming out of HS.
I think we desperately need a KBW 2.0 more than anything else. With how aggressive we can be, we need a big time rebounder and protector in the middle.
One thing I know is that with our Savior back, whatever he feels we need, he will get him and we will be thrilled.

I dont know how this built up, but it's not the case. He was a high volume 3 point shooter, but shot in the mid 30% range or so in high school. He is not a sharpshooter.

KBW are very very very rare. We need a true big though, that's for sure.
We definitely need a sharpshooting guard, our biggest issue on the team last year was poor 3 point shooting. I dont think we should expect Smart or Mays to suddenly become sharp shooting guys.

He said yesterday that he is aiming to decide by May 15, so it probably won't be in the next few days. Hope so though.

Thunderbird1100,
Whats your thoughts on Sy being a replacement to KBW. Can he fill in the spot?
Also, if we don't land Sy, who will be next in line?

I mean May 15th is the last day of the signing period he’s gonna announce before then
