1 Henry To’o To’o Tennessee
2 Palaie Gaoteote USC
3 Quavaris Crouch Tennessee
4 Mike Jones Clemson

Those are the best LB’s in the portal. Any of them would give us a boost and have all been starters and made an impact at their previous stops.

Appreciate your effort. But for me I get the same general transfer portal list on both of your links. It doesn’t appear to save the selection of ILB / OLB.

If O can somehow land Gaiteote that would be epic.

and rumor of NCAA violations?

Its not a rumor to the clowns that took the money. If they did take it, I dont want em..they'll just end up ineligible

To’o To’o, Crouch and Jones Jr. in that order would be who they should be looking at. The big 250 lb USC LB wouldn’t be a good fit for us I don’t think. He looks like a pure 2 down MLB thumper type and we need someone with sideline to sideline speed that can also pay OLB. To’o To’o would obviously be everyone’s first choice but Crouch really intrigued me because he’s a very good athlete with OLB experience and even played some short yardage RB for Tennessee. Jones Jr. looks like a smart, instinctive MLB type almost like Baskerville but is not the athlete of the other two.

don't believe non-grad transfers still have immediate eligibility as they did this past year, the NCAA still has yet to decide on that.

The NCAA already announced blanket waivers for this season. They are deciding whether to make it permanent going forward.

Jones jr is more of a OLB. He was one of the top rated coverage guys in all of college football.

Has LSU previously recruited any of these players? Coach O stated he has already contacted three transfer portal guys.

This. But I have a question...

That announcement was made 12/16/20. And it specifically said "this season" Actual NCAA Announcement

So, since it was made during the 2020 season, at the end but before any bowl/conf champ games were played and they specifically said "this season".

So, for football only, does that mean it (as it stands now, today) does NOT apply to 2021?

For sports that operate on a different calendar, namely basketball, it is in effect.

ETA: seems like the requirement of being enrolled for the 2020 Fall term would rule out it being applied to football players? Or is my comprehension that bad? Of course they didn't say origination or destination school either did they; about right for the NCAA.

---------Summary for those as confused as me---------

In order of occurrence:

A) There was a 1-time waiver proposed
B) Pandemic and pandemic rules/exceptions
C) Then came this announcement, "waiver because Covid", 12/16/20, basically adopted (A) for "this season" temporarily
D) NCAA tables 1-time waiver decision [ref A above], 1/14/21

So when someone says "transfer waivers", there's 2 of them they could be talking about. The temporary one on 12/16, or the permanent one which they've not made a decision on.

Okay. So does this mean the SEC is holding up in conference transfers of undergrads to play immediately? It's all over these boards that Gilbert doesn't know if he can go and we can't get any of the Vol LB's. Can you make this clear to us dolts?
