Great question. These guys are very similar. They are extremely similar, physically. Hootie may wind up slightly bigger.

Fournette and Willis are the only two that I am aware of that have verbal LSU offers. Robinson, Quinn, Jones, etc. do not from what I have heard.

Cameron Robinson maybe doesn't officially have an offer but none of the kids do. You can bet he's been told one's coming. Miles spends way too much time with him when he's on campus for him to not know an offer is coming.

With Jones I think it comes down to him being on campus to get the offer. To my recollection he hasn't been on campus this year though I could be mistaken. Just don't remember him ever being mentioned as on campus. Most expect his offer will be given at camp.

That's the only 4 really needing of offers right now. Some others may be given out at camp but it's far too early to hand out offers to these kids right now. Who else has really separated themselves as sure offers at the moment? The big wr/TE that had the great camp a couple of weeks ago is probably the closest to separating at this point.

I think I read that Tony Brown is a Katrina kid from New Orleans. that a great sign. I was also under the impression that we have given a firm offer to Edward Paris, another DB out of Texas.

I wonder if the guys running that event in Dallas did fresh measurements or used old ones.

The reason I ask is that Hootie was listed on the Neville BB roster this season as 6'3" 215.

BTW, Hootie was 2nd team all district forward. The kid's a hell of an all-around athlete.

Pretty sure one of those two (can't remember which) is a nephew of Jabbar Juluke, the head coach at Edna Karr.

Tony finished 3rd out of 44 @ Texas Relays 110m hurdle. Beat out by 2 upperclassmen.

I think those handful of kids you mentioned would be a great place to start for 2014!

Read in the paper today where Barbe track borrowed Quinn from baseball and he ran a 21.89 200m. Not bad for just showing up, and not too far off from the 200m times of our speedy recruits in Holmes and Dural from Breaux Bridge!

Maybe we get 2014 going this spring evaluation period, or perhaps summer camps.

I would love for LSU to get Hootie. The guy is a freak athlete. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't play QB some his senior year at Neville.

Someone needs to take him up there in January or February just to enjoy the climate.

McCarty used Hootie @ RB on a few occasions last season and I fully expect to see him tote the ball quite a bit this year.

It'll be fun to see him and Diarse lined up in the same backfield.
