He would start for sure. Is the deadline for entering into the nba before the signing period? If the twins and Tyler Ulis return then that should help us a lot, beating out grey and Patterson would be a lot easier for him

Is Newman the only 2015 guy left we're recruiting? Is this in a way kind of showing that JJ thinks maybe both Mickey and Martin return? I mean right now we're set to have exactly 13 scholarship players next season if everyone comes back and we add Victor, Blakeney and Simmons.

I think it's more of sign that we're ok with not having a full roster. While I know there may be a few guys they'll watch, I don't think they're going after anyone outside of Newman very hard.

My idea of roster if Newman were to be signed:
Newman
Blakeney
Hornsby/TQ
Simmons
Victor

This would put the best guys on the roster on the floor at the same time.

You process someone if Newman wants to come here. Not saying it will happen but if M&M return and Newman commits he should tell grey to look elsewhere. Because, 1 year of Newman>>>> 1 year of grey. (Not trying to hate on grey)

Lineup projection with M&M and Newman
1) Newman

3) simmons
4) Martin
5) mickey

Without M&M with Newman
1) Newman
2) Hornsby
3) quarterman
4) simmons
5) malone/ maybe victor when he returns

There's no way Gray would be sent packing, not a chance. He's not even close to one of the worst players on the team, would make no sense to get rid of him.

Would you get rid of a big for a point gaurd? Grey would be the only scholarship gaurd who would be reasonable to be sent packing.

Yes, more likely one of those bigs would be leaving than Gray, and I'm not going to point out who, but we all know who it would probably come down to.
