Very true. It's great to be in the final groups of this big name guys. We have 1 committed and we need to pull another. Still very possible we have a top 5 class.

Elijah came out and said that list was bullshite. Gymratinsider was the source, so I doubt it was legit.
Elijah's mom wants him to stay close to home, which has led to increased interest in LSU, Okie Lite, and apparently A&M. Hadn't ever heard them even mentioned before with Thomas. Apparently SMU's coaching staff and Thomas' mom had a falling out recently.

Apparently this was prior to Mudiay going overseas. Mudiay's decision may have just sunk their chances even more.

Any idea when this happened? UNLV was (and may still be) a real contender for Thomas. To be honest, I really stopped following his recruitment. Good to see we're still a player for him.

The factor will be if Dickerson sign with us cause we won't get both. I rather Thomas but I would like to have Dickerson also. Which I think we get Dickerson cause of Ben. My class of four is

We end up with Dickerson and Simmons. I'm really not sure about Sampson. I like Blakeney more at SG, and feel like he needs to be the top priority for the staff. Like someone else in this thread said, I'm not sure Acuil is a take at the moment.

I think we could pull both. Thomas is a 5 all the way and Dickerson is a 4. I think they'd work well together. I really think we'll have a 5 man class and Martin and Mickey will declare along with Odo graduating. Imagine this roster in 2 years:
PG: Grey, Quarterman, Patterson, Blakeney
SG: Hornsby, Blakeney, Sampson, Quarterman,
SF: Simmons, Sampson, Hornsby, Bridgewater
PF: Thomas, Dickerson, Epps, Simmons, Bridgewater
C: Robertson, Thomas, Dickerson, Malone, Epps
CHAMPIONSHIP.

With Jarrel being in the first NBA mock draft I think we could have a class of 6 cause I also think Mickey will make that jump after a solid year. This would give us room for Thomas and Lott.

I don't see Malone going anywhere. I've always gotten the impression he really likes LSU and feels comfortable here.

I don't follow recruiting much other than what's posted on this board. However, in looking at the 247 website yesterday I see where there are recent projections going back and forth to LSU for Blakeny and Sampson. I know it doesn't mean a whole lot, but Sampson was trending towards LSU yesterday where before it was all Blakeny to LSU. Unfortunately, I don't think LSU gets both (the bad), but it does appear that those much more in the know than me think that LSU will get at least one (the good)
