To make negative comments during signing daY = UNETHICAL.

To say it at that point in time is on purpose IMO.

What does he know about players getting "coached-up"?

Look at the recruiting class rankings under Miles, then look at the way the team has played the last two years. It doesn't take an expert.

I would think since he does draft analysis he looked at the talent of the kids that came in and how they are prepared now for the draft.

Wasn't Tyson Jackson rated as the #1 defensive end in 2008?

Under Miles in 2007 & 2008, LSU had 2 different 1,000 yard rushers, the first since Dalton Hilliard & Harvey Williams in 1985 & 1986.

We had special teams in 06 and 07, it's always going to be hard to match that level of talent.

along the lines he is dead on correct

Really?

The 2010 LSU Team will likely see Toliver, Randle & Shepard at WR this season. For those playing at home, that is 3 5 Star ranked recruits at Wide Receiver for LSU. That has not happened at LSU before.

Then there is the signing draftable Linebacker thing. Miles will be the first LSU Football Coach to recruit & sign a drafted NFL LB'er since Gerry Dinardo signed Bradie James for the 1999 season.

So TigerDroppings.com was not to blame?

I think it's a knee-jerk reaction. All the media guys are the same. Everything is about the present. We have 2 mediocre seasons after a national championship and all of a sudden, our talent level is no good. I call Bull shite. I respect Todd McShay, but I completely disagree with him.

A good example of this is how Cassius Marsh was elevated so much after one good game (not saying he's not good, but it was one game).

I think this is correct...it reminds me of this past season with the cowboys...they were struggling in the middle of the season...all analysts were saying how they have very little talent etc...then they end dec strong and all of a sudden they are 1 of the most talented teams in the NFC...

and it's unfair to say that players aren't coached up at LSU...OL and DL were not very good this yr..but really there weren't many big recruits at those positions...WE SENT THE MOST PLAYERS TO THE NFL COMBINE IN THE SEC!!!!! lafell and black were 3* players going to the NFL...how is this not coaching up players???

Look, this is the guy who last year at this time i think had AL WOODS listed as going overall TOP FIVE in the NFL draft.

...all you need to know i think...he doesn't have a clue.

our Seniors last year had a 3 star OL that was voted best blocker of the year in the SEC and a 3 star WR that had the most TD catches in the SEC in the last 2 years. Both are NFL bound

Yeah, we're doing terrible in developing.

I think we try too hard to get every player "X" number of touches a game and keep everyone happy. Let spring and summer practice dictate who gets the lions share of playing time. There will be injuries and opportunities, just be patient. If the players aren't satisfied with that....work harder and get better next year.

Harvey Williams ran for over 1,000 in '87, not '86.

Exactly the reason why I believe the players who stayed loyal to LSU an committed to play their college ball here have something to prove.

Even the upper classmen are coming with a chip on their shoulders. We lost out on a few commits so what. We don't want playes who are not all in 100% anyway. I think so many people are overlooking the ability of the these players we brought in this year.

We have some real ballers who didn't recieve all the attention and I think they have something to say about it just like when LSU plays Tulane and LaTech and those players remind LSU that we made a mistake by passing on them.

Exactly bet the % of coaches on here are in the 1 percentile and beer bellied nut scratching. reporters(or want-a- be) are every where. Saturday afternoon tv and an occasional peeking in on practice lends itself to expertise analysis.

Funny how LSU has the most players (12) invited to the NFL combine along with three highly rated classes. Seems they need to do their homework before stating talent is declining.
