Damn!
Why would he go JUCO? Isn't the plan to have him greyshirt to make sure he can stay clean for the year and then let him join the team?

Yea, I'm not sure why some are saying JUCO...unless his grades have gotten in jeopardy.

After his last trouble, he was basically adopted by a Benton family. Since then, he has been in zero trouble, got his grades right, and got the ACT score he needed. Red shirt or grey shirt, his official visit is in 2 weeks.
This is fact.

I'll say this. A kid that can win at the broad jump, triple jump, and place in the high jump, and is gifted enough for the LSU track program to be interested in him is not someone to take lightly. His football abilities appear to be just as good! I'd hate for him to be across the line from us at Miss St. This will be one Miles will have to make the call on, not us!

So what happens when he's on his own again at college without someone looking over his shoulder all the time to make sure he isn't screwing up?

Is there a hot mom like in The Blind Side?

He is going Juco, if not then LSU! No other colleges. Thanks for posting the thing on the Benton Family I didn't want to be the one to say it.

Well if you get pulled over and do a breath test then you get arrested for being under age!
Contributing to a minor means he was charged with supplying ANOTHER minor..........not himself. He wasnt charged with underage drinking (to my knowledge), they already had him on a DUI and a secondary charge.
Usually the only time a minor is charged with "contributing to minor" is when there is a significant age difference between the two or group vs individual.

I happen to know in detail the story of every incident. It was a field brawl with over 60 kids fighting. Only one arrest and a cop wasn't present and an adult wasn't present. He was arrested MONTHS after the fight. The kid he fought was 205 pound linebacker. He got up and walked 5 miles to his car and didnt got to the doctor until the next day. The day after this fight the kid text Fleming and asked for a rematch! It's in the court minutes!! When interviewed the last thing on the video is the kid saying "hey this does get his scholarship doesn't it?" Sad but true.

The theft charge was dropped. The kid who accused him of stealing the cell phone has it back in his very own possession and TK fleming never had it in his possession. Fleming has an iphone...doesn't need another one!

I don't believe his coach is that against him.
He's not. I know/played for the coach. The coach gave him two chances (as he does most of his players) and TK f'd up a third time. It came to the point of wanting a good player on your team vs. setting a bad example for the rest of the team.

Benton Tiger, It was all someone else's fault, hunh?
Posted on 1/21/11 at 1:32 pm to nitwit
Nitwit no doubt the kid has had some trouble, but not as bad of trouble as the media would leave you to believe!

I don't think so...if it was the felony theft it was reduced to a misdemeanor

Imo there is very little risk in allowing Fleming to go to LSU.If he screws up then just boot him.The kid may have seen the light and if he doesn't screw up again we could have a special player for 4-5 years. The bad publicity that would come with taking him or him screwing up later would be minimal and over quickly. You don't see UF being brought down by all the kids they've had arrested in college the last 6 years do you? This is major college football, bad pr can be solved quickly by winning on the field.Hell the Cam Newton stuff didn't hurt Auburn's program at all. That kind of stuff is very ovverrated. These kids aren't running for US President here.
