Darren McFadden disagrees.

A stopwatch can never gauge game speed.

This is pissing me off. Quick vote, who on here that pays attention to what I've said over time thinks I really lack reading comprehension skills?

I am pretty positive that Chad Jones runs below a 4.5 40. I don't think it is even questioned.

yeah...i seem to remember hearing that Chad Jones beat Laron in the 40 last year. And i saw a video of Laron beating Clinton Portis. That means...and stay with me here... Chad Jones > Laron Landry > Clinton Portis in speed. Intense equation, i know

I would think that Chad Jones is just as fast or faster than most of our recent safeties...exluding Landry.

Hired Gun has to be one of the most uninformed folks on this site. Incredible to read such dribble

FWIW, Sammy Knight ran like a 4.8, but that dude was always around the ball. Safety is more of having "it" than just being strong and fast. His speed is definitely "in the ballpark" to be a solid play maker.

Give me a Safety who loves to hit and is always around the ball any day of the week.

if you honestly think Chad Jones' problem is speed, you are retarded

Bring up a kid's 40 time and it's a guaranteed 5 page thread, never fails.

I disagree with just about everything in your post.

He's run a 10.4 one hundred meter...is that too slow for you?

ETA: He is also rated as the fastest saftey in the country by Rivals, FWIW.
