Tight Ends!!

I love the haul we got at tight end, to sign three freshman of this caliber is outstanding, just think a week ago we only had one legitimate te on the roster.BK has done an excellent job of filling that position.
I also love the O-lineman we got in the class ...

You COULD do that, but if you did you really would only want a big, physical inline blocker and that's only if you think Markway won't be ready. Or maybe if there's a guy who fits as an H-back you can use as a lead blocker/fullback type when you go heavy at the goal line (though I'd just as soon stick with Mashburn to get that).
Either McGohan or Pimpton is going to give us that 2nd tight end who's a pass-catcher right away. They're both super-accomplished receivers; more so than even Mason Taylor was this year.
I wouldn't spend a scholarship on a portal tight end. Not unless he's a special teams guy.
This is going to be the best tight end room we've had since David LaFleur and Nicky Savoie were our two top guys.

I said this and I wasn’t the only one who said it, but I’m no longer worried about TE, QB, or OL. Now it’s time to go just as hard on the DL and LB cruits. Once that comes together, watch the frick out. We start landing multiple top 10 LBs and multiple top 10 DL it’s on! Good luck beating LSU with that type of talent and depth.
I guess it really isn’t his fault this year because we had some really good DLman, just wasn’t in the cards this year. When it comes to family and being close to family at certain times in life, there’s nothing you can do about that.
I would definitely stock up 2 or 3 more DL, 1 ready to play TE with 1 or 2 years left so we can RS the freshman class, maybe 2 more DBs, 2 more LBs and 2-3 more OL. That would give us 9 more players and would put us right where they wanted to be. 36 to 37 players. Keep adding portal players every year until you get the right mix of players here.

What’s wrong with that? We could use a balanced TE in this class. These guys are young and will take some time. Let’s say only 1 is ready out of the group and one gets hurt? We’d have that covered. We don’t necessarily need one but it wouldn’t hurt and we have room, if it’s available then go for it.

Mashburn is still on the roster. He is certainly physical for the multi-TE sets.
Taylor will be a year bigger and if Markway is an early enrollee I think we will have the physicality needed at the position.
No transfer needed.

He hasn't played in two years. lol
Saying we could use a veteran tight end from the portal is not absurd.
