I have not been able to see him in person either.

All reports are that he is 6'0 max.

If he's 6'0 then so is Anthony Johnson.

Johnson is a legit 6'2 combine measured... look carefully at the pick, Johnson has his neck bent over, head tilted, as well as back slightly bent forward and if you look at the waist line there is a 1.5-2 inch differential. So, my guess is Mickey is 6ft to 6'.5", which is pretty similar to former tiger great Anthony McFarland. McFarland is actually a very good overall comparison for him since they have the same height and are both extremely strong. I just don't know how fast Mickey is to complete the comparison, if you remember McFarland was unreal fast at his height and weight (he ran a 4.84 at the combine and reported had a best of 4.69 for scouts elsewhere)

Glad you enjoyed.

Be on the lookout for an update in the near future. I think it is about time for one. New film and prospects have surfaced.

Having reviewed this thread, there is noting regarding any kicker Yes, I am the father of a kicker who is interested in LSU, and has D1 talent.

Jasper is a senior this year. What's the opinion on his backups and what's the opinion of adding a talented kicker/punter from 2011?

What is his full name and where is he from. Is there any video of him?

A kicker for 2011 could be a possibility depending on how well Alleman does. Even so, they may want to get another guy to come in behind him.

Alleman is currently a walk-on, but he has been pretty good from the little we have been able to see of him/heard about him. If he plays once Jasper is gone, I think he will earn a scholarship.

LINK

He and his mother were at the LSU / Arkansas game last year. He's one of 2 ESPN Top 150 WatchList kickers and he's a 3.6+ GPA student. We plan on being at the LSU kicking campin June so the coaches can see him kick in person.

Thanks for the link. Do you have his stats from this past year?

Impressive film and definitely looks like a top kicker. The reason he wouldn't have been listed in this thread is because it is only covering LA prospects. I do know there is one very good kicker coming out of LA this year, but his name is slipping my mind.

I would suggest a couple things:

A) Make some adjustments to the highlight reel. It should start out listing his name and his stats. After that, show a couple clips of his best kickoffs, then show his best FGs, and if he punts, then show a couple of those as well. You want to catch the coaches attention as quick as possible. Bombing kicks 10 yards deep in the endzone and making 45+ yard FGs is a great way to do that.

B) Send that redone film to as many coaches across America as possible. Also, make sure that Scout and Rivals both have his film--they are a great way to market your son. Even if he does not have much interest in attending some schools, an offer from them can add legitimacy to him (around the country, especially on the recruiting sites--helping gain him name recognition). If LSU is going to take a kicker this year, then I think they would be hard pressed to find a better one. They may want him to come in for one of their kicking camps to have a first hand look.

Thanks for the input. He's already got teams from the SEC, Big 10, Big 12, ACC, Big East, Ivy, and even PAC 10 interested in him but as you may know, kickers are usually the last to be offeres scholarships.

He would love to play at LSU. We'll see what the coaches think after he kicks in Baton Ruge in early June.

Great job on the list. Dak Prescott's (#23 on list) recruitment is really just now taking off. LSU is on campus today. TCU and Mississippi St will both be here this week. He has two offers from small in state schools, Grambling and NSU have both offered. I think TCU and Mississippi St will both offer very soon. This is there 2nd trip to Haughton in a weeks time to see him throw

lynxcat, are you surprised about Sylve? Just interested in your opinion. I know it isn't signing day yet, so we can still get him.

Definitely surprised. He comes from an area that LSU recruits well at a position of need. I expected him to be a part of the 2011 class (and I still think he will eventually change his commitment to LSU).

Do you have any room for a 6'1'WR/RB/Return Specialist with a 4.43 40yd dash.,35 " verticle, and a 4.2 Shuttle with great hands? Can we add that he has a 460 lb squat max,a 240 bench and a 3.9 GPA? See Vincent Moore at Scout.com.
