Thoughts on Gharin Stansbury from ASU?

Gharin Stansbury the latest ASU DL to enter transfer portal
quote:
Despite being referred to as a "baby Doberman" by former defensive line coach Robert Rodriguez on multiple occasions, the 6-foot-6, 245-pound Stansbury was largely unable to display the physical and technical improvements Rodriguez observed due to a hamstring injury that limited him throughout this season. He appeared in just two games and failed to record a single statistic.
But his promise as a future contributor remained, and he would've at least been a candidate to start next fall.
quote:
“When you first saw him on those sleds it was like, ‘How is this guy ever going to be able to get into a stance,'" Rodriguez said during spring ball. "The kid has progressed so quickly, and now when you look at him, you go, ‘Wait a minute we might have something on our hands.’”
As a three-star arrival in the Sun Devils' 2021 class, Stansbury's raw athleticism was occasionally featured on third downs during a true freshman campaign in which he recorded a pair of tackles and one sack in eight games played. At the time, he stood at a gangly 220 pounds.
The 25 pounds of apparent muscle he added to his lengthy frame ahead of ASU’s 2022 preseason camp appeared to be a positive sign in his development and perhaps may have enabled him to take on an elevated role if his health permitted it.

Not a bad pick up but we need interior guys in a bad way

May not be a starter, but may be a rotational guy has a heavy end. Kinda fits the mold CBK set, would use the portal to fill in gaps in the depth chart, would rather Louisiana guys if possible.

Sounds like a good Desmond little replacement

He's a great, hardworking kid. I hope he comes back home to play somewhere close. Solid athlete.

Exactly what I thought. Sounds like Desmond Little.

Here’s my thoughts …if we offer this kid ..then we might as well offer Tadarius Collins

I'd actually rather have Collins. Collins looks like an SEC player to me. This guy was a bit of a project at Arizona State and in two years he hasn't done much of anything.
Georgia Tech just offered Stansbury. My guess is he'll go there.

Yeah I'm taking collins all day over this kid.
I think better players are available.
