I'm sorry but when I hear a song when the singer clearly references his dick and then something about "shoving it down your throat" that does not reflect well on Les Miles or LSU.
What about the "nuts in your face" part?

Would a George straight song be better for the video? You can show that video to 100 recruits and not one would complain about the music of the video, if anything it would pump them up even more. If they are offended by the music then they shouldn't be on a football field because they will get their feelings hurt a lot more.

I've been following LSU football since 1972. He was the most exciting and fun player that I have seen in all those years. It's such a shame that we were deprived of all that enjoyment in his junior year. There will never be another Honey Badger.

Every now and then I will watch these highlight videos of TM7 and I am amazed every time at some of the things he pulled off. Every time we needed a big play he would do something amazing. There will never be anyone else like him.

We've let some time pass and can reflect more objectively, I think. It is not an exaggeration to say that Mathieu, by an order of magnitude, is the most disruptive "offensive" minded defensive player in CFB history. I don't know how to quantify it, but from a subjective standpoint, he just knew where the ball was at all times, and had a good idea of where it was going. If he could make his body get there, he was going to have an opportunity to make a play on it.

I remember the blitz play as a freshmen - (I really didn't have a good idea of who he was until that play, other than he was the "tiny" freshman DB) - against Florida, where he jumped up, the Tackle AND Guard had him, and swatted the ball down anyway - so they bodyslammed him and he got up still talking smack. I was fired up. I was ready to go out and hit somebody after seeing that. He became my favorite player on the team with that play.

No just one where he's not talking about his dick down someone's neck is fine. So to draw in the recruit you need to lower yourself to the lowest common denominator.

Some of the biggest songs out right now talk about selling or cooking dope, killing, making millions of dollars or sex. It's what people who like hip hop listen to. If a song sounds good, it can talk about doing drugs the whole song and people who have never even seen the drugs they are talking about will still like the song and sing along to it. Not every song is ment to be relatable to everyone espicialy in hip hop. Whatever anyone has to say against this is irrelevant. Recruits listen to similar songs all the time and the only people who will be offended by the lyrics are older white men. Some of these rappers are making millions of dollars making these songs that millions of people will listen to. Nobody gives a damn if they offend any of you

I think everyone can relate to
quote:

Treat my dick like a dog bitch fetch
I put it down your throat then I buss it on your neck

0% chance that that was the song originally on lesmiles.net, and you can bet as soon as LSU or Les Miles' camp sees it, it'll be gone.

Now back to the subject of the post...Tyrann was a once in a lifetime player. Truly unfortunate that his time here was cut short due to bad decisions. He is the definition of a playmaker.

I have always maintained that the thing that truly separated TM7 from other great playmakers with incredible athleticism and instincts is a simply amazing amount of hand-eye coordination. He almost never simply batted balls or scrambled after them. If it was within arm's reach, he pretty much had it in his hands. Watching him punch balls out of runners' hands and snatch them before they even hit the ground was a marvel. And loose balls? Forget about it!

It wouldn't surprise me if he could have developed into an amazing baseball player. My guess is that his reaction times and hand eye coordination would have made him a terror at the plate.
