I think '05 was miles first year, so that would be the reason we were #22 on rivals. Other than that we havent been outside of top 11 since 2002.

Rivals currently has us at #17 and ESPN at #18. I dont like the regression.

Looks like it.

I'm a little worried about the class overall. We have some nice players, but this isn't an elite class.

I think Vadal Alexander and Danielle Hunter are the only two potentially elite guys. Maybe Lamar Louis.

Yeah, yeah yeah, I know Mo Claiborne was a -14 star.

You honestly think you're the first person to bring this up? Do you?

It isn't over yet and if/when we are right in the thick of the hunt for the SEC West, SEC and BCS next season... you won't remember this signing class's ranking.

We had a couple high profile drop outs and a couple players "downgraded"..... I trust the talent evaluation from the staff and that we'll be fine.

We're only showing 19 commits.

We'll close well and end up in the Top 10.

It's all good.

Feist and Davis have a good shot.

Dural is a nice player. Hill could be a beast as well.

Who knows who we get with the spots we have open..we could pull a couple of elite guys in those spots.

Rivals had him at a -20. You must be quoting Scout or ESPN.

Good point, I should have at least mentioned Davis.

Feist will be interesting. I was impressed with him in the AA game. But he is changing positions, etc.

Agreed.

I definitely didn't mean we recruited scrubs. And I'm sure some dude will rise up and just be hellacious and awesome and properly evaluated by Les and co. yet again.

Don't worry about overall ranking, worry about filling needs, which we're still doing a good job of, albeit without Collins or Kiel which we would've liked to have but they didn't end up here. Need to close strong but it's not as bad as you think.

Because, you know, one bad recruiting class spells an eternity of doom.

Hill isn't being counted in the class rankings either, since he was 2011 class. If he was a 2012 player, we would be close to top 10. We still have a shot at quite a few people and we have room to add more to the class. We are in the home stretch where LSU usually ends up signing 1 or 2 big names (RR2, Montgomery, Rasco, etc.)

Wait until Feb to talk about the class strength.

Feist was just demoted to 3 star. Rivals must think that we are gonna get a few good ones to close out so they demoted us too make sure we can't climb too high.

This class' ranking may not be high but the athleticism in this class is elite. I can't wait to see what Moffiitt and the position coaches can do with guys like Lamar Louis, Jerald Hawkins, Danielle Hunter, Derrick Raymond, Dereck Edinburgh, ect. This is already a strong class with a few more spots to fill.
