They SHOULD be forced, but they are not. They have the freedom to go where they want, but if they choose not to play at LSU (unless they feel they have no shot at playing there) then the state should SHUN them. They should never be allowed back to work, visit, see their families...etc. PISS on them, and I hope they freakin' suck where ever they go. Then I hope they break their legs. Disloyal, little bastards.

No seriously, tell us how you really feel

Not as extreme as this, but close.

I never said it doesn't happen. Your reading comprehension is terrible, or I didn't word it correctly. I know that this stuff happens, but the fact that it happens is a huge problem and precisely what the OP is saying the problem is. It's terrible that a kid would be shunned from an entire state simply because he feels that the school he feels is best for him just so happens to be out of state. Do y'all not see the problem in this?

Kids parents in Mississippi get fired from their jobs when they don't go to in-state schools.

CJ Johnson and Marcus Tillman - the shite that went down in their recruitments people wouldn't believe the stories.

I have no problem with a kid going out of state. I do have a problem when they do so to go the home state's biggest rival, especially when the home state's school is heavily after them. You don't think shunning happens elsewhere? Tell that to ESPN analyst and former Michigan Wolverine Desmond Howard, who still to this day gets "frick You Desmond" chants when he goes to his home state's school (Ohio State) for games because he went to their biggest rival

I don't see a problem with it at all. I see a problem with fans LIKE YOU and the OP encouraging these kids to leave the great state of Louisiana. You are a traitor, and if we didn't live in a country full of a bunch of peace loving, hippie liberals, I would suggest you be hung or shot.

May God have mercy on your soul for criticizing his home, Louisiana.

Once again ill try and clarify this. I know that kids from every state are pressured to stay home, some more than others. It's just absolutely mind blowing that people take this SO seriously that they would go out of their way to make sure an athlete doesn't get an opportunity to be successful professionally just because they played football for an out of state school.

Lol now it's obvious you're trolling. No one is wanting them to go out of state. We want them to be able to pick a school that's best for them without the fear of running into people like yourself that purposely tries to hold them back from being successful.

And this is a huge problem. Regardless of the state, this is some of the most immature and idiotic practices I have ever seen

Btw, I'm not claiming it only happens in Louisiana. I'm not sure why people keep putting words in my mouth.

I sure as hell wouldn't hire a kid that chose Bama over LSU, and that is MY right. I will not judge on race, sex, age, and disabilities, but if you are a Gump, you can kiss my arse and go to hell. Go get a job in Alabama, a-hole.

Lol why do y'all keep saying this as if I said its limited to Louisiana. I clearly have states it happens every where. It's like y'all aren't even reading my posts.

Because you 100% backed the OP.

And his stance is that Louisiana is the worst.

And when I tried to tell him that it goes on all over the place, he called me retarded - he's a big man

Sorry if I didn't clarify it in an earlier post. I'm simply saying that this practice is pretty fricked up regardless of which state it happens in.

Sorry for the confusion

They hold themselves back from being successful by not picking LSU. I have no pity for them. They have a God given talent that I don't have. If they don't use that talent to make me happy as a fan, then piss on them. I am not going to help them out if they ever come back. They chose to make me unhappy as a fan for 4 years. They deserve pain and suffering for this.
