I was on the sideline and the play happened right in front of me. The WM brushed by the Neville player but did not hit him. The receiver dropped it, another Neville player had a chance to get it, and then a WM player fell on it.

I don't know what the rule is but I was watching for the ref to throw his flag and he never did. I was surprised he didn't throw it, not because it was a penalty, but because we were playing at Neville. That was the only break we got all night.

looked to me on the TV that there was contact. And it was more than a brushing just before the ball got there. Then the Neville guy had to reset himself to try to catch the ball and muffed it.

Regardless WM has the better team and would have likely won regardless. But Neville was in the game up to that point.

Its a shame the game turned on a play like that.

So the 2 personal fouls on WM didn't keep Neville in the game prior to that call? WM going up 13/14-0 in the first quarter would not have changed the flow of the game? Both calls were completely phantom. The tackle was on the shoulder pad, not the facemask. The one on Cain no one knows what he called. It was the same ref on Neville's sideline that threw flag after flag on WM. I say if they sign another 2 year agreement play both games at ULM and bring in refs from Lafayette.

Coach Shows got in the referees face after that call and said, "I'll bet my salary against your salary that was NOT a face mask!" LOL

That was another thing. Shows gets a sideline warning right off the bat. McCarty was on the field for 10 minutes and didn't get shite.

Well, I just believe that was a penatly on the punt but...

the kid should've called for a fair catch.

That penalty was responsible for 25 yards of offense and 7 points...how do you account for the other 407 yards and 27 points.

I agree that it didn't help Neville, but those other calls certainly didn't help us. Besides, the outcome of the game wasn't decided by that one call. West Monroe was much better...period. Neville is very young. They will get better and make a ton of noise in 4A again.

It wasn't called on Shows. It was called on another person that is neither a coach or player. I will not name names here. But most WM fans will know who I'm talking about. He was yelling at the refs to get their heads out .... well you get the picture.

Talked to the WM trainer at the WM freshman game. He said Paul will be out 2 maybe 3 weeks. He could play next week but they want to take it slow. We have Richwood and then Capt Shreve so there is no need to rush it.

Fingers got a little quick. It appeared to me that the Neville player did touch the ball.
We will get to watch the replay game on Tuesday. Hopefully we will get a better look.
