yeah Neville got hosed.

Most obvious punt catch interference you will ever see was not called against West Monroe.

From what I've heard the refs have not been very good tonight. Sounds like they've blown a lot of calls.

Guess you missed the tackle on the shoulder from behind that they called a facemask against WM. Would've been 4th down, instead 1st down Neville. How about the personal foul on WM's Tyler Cain when he was tackled by 3 Neville defenders? As soon as he was tackled the flag was thrown. Would've been WM 4th and 3 on Neville's 30. Instead it's 4th and 18 from midfield and WM was forced to punt. WM had 6-7 times more penalty yards than Neville tonight. To whine about that call and act like that's what caused Neville to lose is flat out laughable. How do you get 10 calls to 1 and whine about the 1?

As far as the game goes, I like what I saw from Neville. They fought hard for 48 minutes and never gave up. Diarse = Reuben Randle. The kid is a phenomenal athlete and will be a top recruit in 2 years. Paul Turner tweaked his ankle in the 3rd quarter and will be out atleast next week per Shows after the game. His touchdown run was unbelievable. He seemed to be toying with the Neville defenders. I expected more disruption from Neville's big DT. Didn't see a ton out of him tonight and WM ran the option a good bit.

I think Neville will be a serious contender when Caesar comes back and they get a little experience. I know they're 0-2, but those two losses were to two very good 5A teams. They have too much heart not to get this thing going and end the year NO WORSE than 7-3.

Really? You mean about holding back 30+ a year

Never happened. Most that ever held back was 21.

Neville has a great venue and has more room than most high schools around.

Agreed. Neville has a very classy venue. I love their stadium and the addition of the student section has really expanded their capacity. I just wish I could've gotten something to eat/drink. Several thousand on WM's side and 1 concession stand with 1 line total? Out of drinks at the half? I didn't even try to get anything after I saw the line stretching several hundred feet.

I told my dad he might as well have run like this the entire time as he was just toying with them on that run.

Tweaked his ankle again against Neville. I was worried at first as he had his hand on his face and head dropped on the bench. It looked like an aircast, but it turned out to be ice saran wrapped around his ankle. Thought the year was over in week 2.

Neville is young this year. They kept it close until that punt return call. Very horrible call, but they shouldnt have let the game get out of hand. It was a good learning experience that will hopefully pay off next month.

Turner is all that and WM doesnt lose a game this year. Ouachita will be their only challenge until the playoffs and they wont be much of one. WM's supporting players played very well.

I agree. I was right in front of the radio crew for WM and asked them if there was a halo rule in high school. They didn't know for sure. Listening on the radio, Arledge said he didn't know either. He didn't hit the return man, but he was 100% inside a halo if there was one. As soon as that play happened I told everyone around me I wanted Neville to get the ball. I didn't want that call to taint the game and no matter how much WM won by, everyone would look at that call as costing Neville the game.

Diarse is a stud. I was shocked that Neville didn't throw ONE deep ball all night and didn't attack the middle of WM's defense. That's what Leesville scored on last week and 0 attempts was very surprising.

I wish he could be on the other end of his pass. If LSU doesnt get on him, they're going to miss him. Bama is all over him as a sophmore.

West Monroe dominated that game, especially in the second half. West Monroe had over 400 yards in offense while Neville had only 150.

I don't know the rules for the National Federation rules areconcerning the 'halo rule'. The WM defender did not make contact with the Neville receiver prior to him dropping the punt. It appears the Neville receiver dropped the punted ball, I could not see if the Neville player actually made contact with the ball or not. I will have to watch the replay to see what really happened.

I don't think you can call Turner injury prone. Last year Neville hit him 3 yards out of bounds at the ankle and hurt him. That was his only injury last year. Last night he got rolled up and hurt the same ankle according to the radio crew. He'll be fine shortly.
