Can you imagine if Bama had Clowney? Good grief!

young men like that can, and will, change the current dynamic in the SEC West. our division has truely become the "waiting room for the league."

I know man and Clowneys mom wouldn't let him do it...he wanted Bama

Too far

With Connor they got what they wanted at the last minute and Memphis told me for a while he would end up there, but I thought it had really turned when a certain former Bama alum started mentoring him and about a few days before NSD OM made their move

I will say this Bama still has a large lead for Cam but his mom is pro LSU for many reasons (and Im not even talking about LM, talking about wanting him home etc) and the reason the BOL staff etc says what they do is because he really was close to committing about 2 months ago, verbally, and held off, took the visit to LSU and had a good time, LSU made up some ground for him

The commitment of Brandon Harris was also pretty big. The first thing he talked about after committing was getting Cam's phone number. He's always said that he was going to recruit his LT.

I seriously think that is what made the difference at camp and made him start thinking of LSU again and not meaning it was Harris in general but the fact that LSU had a QB

Seemed like it made a difference and helped his recruitment for LSU staff tremendously...before that they were VERY close to losing him

Thought the same thing. If you would have asked me in June I would've given LSU a 10% chance just because of his mom. Now, it's much closer.

He also seems to really like Stud. At the Opening they asked him about who was recruiting him to each school. He broke into a big smile when talking about Coach Stud. I think comfort with his O-line coach will play large in his decision.

Also, who's frickin prophet!

The stud love (pun intended) thing is blown out of proportion, LSU interest boils down to mom and fam vs Bama interest boiling down to coaches and success

I think he just thinks Stud is goofy

ETA: Some searches for the truth are only about the journey, telling you would be too easy

Here's what a recruits dad thinks of Stud. From 247 message board.

quote:

Agreed. When my son and I visited with him last Wednesday during our unoffical visit, we both came away with the same oppinion: We thought he was the best OL coach we've met or spoke to..He was very detailed and intelligent and my son liked him very much - liked his personality....I can't wait to see him work with my son this Saturday at the OL camp.....My son is excited as well....

I've also talked to a few people who know Stud and they all say he's a great guy, coach, and is very smart.

So you were talking about coach Frank huh. Why do you think he leads our sites on? Why would he even have to? To make him look better than he is? He's already one of the best recruiters in the country. Don't you think if a recruit found out that Frank told someone something that wasn't true that he would get pissed? I doubt Frank would jeopardize something like that. Not his MO.

And if you're talking about LC, he lied to our coaches or changed his mind.

Bama doesn't have a large lead for Cam, Bucc. Just like your Hartis to AU call and pretending you had some type of inside info there, you don't know what the frick you're talking about. Call a spade a spade. You get all your info from BOL and then filter it through your own delusional homerism.

Longer it drags out, better for lsu. And if lsu locks up the other top La prospects and beats Bama this season, it's game over.

Really original I came on here to have a discussion not a flame fest

Everything that is BOL's I relay that as BOL info fwiw but thanks for your concern

Harris played the game well it happens

I just might know something on CRob (admittedly I do know a good but more on Cam than I did with Harris)

I know that sounded bad/irrational Louie but I should've qualified sorry

By success I meant the OL development and NFL draft success not overall success BCS etc, he is getting that with both schools IMO
