re: The Frank Wilson situation...

LSU has noticeably been better at evaluations/recruiting since he came here. I don't think that's a coincidence. LSU is fielding guys now that are All-SEC players as freshman consistently. Hell, both Jalens got accolades for that this year. It seems like since Frank came here LSU recruited more towards players who could instantly start for us. That's the big difference and why we sat in a NC last year. He's a pretty big reason why we're successful right now. Anyone remember when Miles barely played Freshman? That kinda went out the door by the time Frank got here.

Freeze at Ole Piss offered him OC position as soon as he got there. Obviously Frank passed it up.
Only way I see him going to an OC position is if it's the right fit. I don't think he's going to take a small school OC job. It would need to be a big school like in the SEC.
This is a really good unintentional burn against Ole Miss.

Juluke would be the guy to pursue if Frank leaves.
I want Jaluke either way.

Frank Wilson is a great recruiter a great guy, and a good position coach. X's and O's are not his strongest asset, I know he was offered the OC's position at Ole Miss, but Hugh Freeze calls the play himself. Freeze offered Frank that position for recruting purposes. I see Wilson becoming a head coach at a mid-major and then moving up the ladder from there.

I get mine from some Project guy and I'm constantly ill-informed.

Jaluke is good with the kids, but Wilson is excellent with the parents.

Frank Wilson bleeds PnG and is Louisiana through and through.

He sits next to me at Basketball Games usually with a recruit or two. I'll ask him and get back to you.

Thanks. Tell him I said Hi and appreciate all he does for LSU. Also, tell him being an OC is not all what it's cracked up to be.

Additonally, the colossal failures of Locksley and Porter as head coaches will impact his outlook in my opinion,
I'm not saying you are wrong, but I really don't understand that mentality. Why would the coaching resume of one guy affect the future prospects of another just because the had similar positions at the same school? Would we expect future Mich State coaches to do as well as Saban? Of course not, but for some reason we fully beleif that if a coach from a certain place leaves and fails, then others will as well.

Frank Wilson could very well be the next oc at LSU. All he has to do is learn well under Cam. Cam won't be here that long. as long as Miles is here, Frank has a good shot. I can't see any major player (georgia, auburn, florida school etc.) offering him an oc. I can't see him moving to an arkansas st. like brian harsin did.
He will be at LSU for the next 5 years.

FWIW Frank Wilson and his family have been renting my boss's house for the last year and a half but he inquired about buying the house outright last month. So it sounds like he is going to be here for at least a few more years

Any concerns bout FW being LSU's Trooper? There's smoke in the air in Miss & Alabama bout it.

Burton burns is the best RB coach and recruiter in the country IMO. Wilson is right behind him.
This has nothing to do with this thread...but I don't care bitches.

Burns is fantastic no doubt.
One thing about Frank...he loves LSU and worked several years to reach his current position.
I could see him taking something like the HC job at McNeese. One thing I think he would definitely take is the HC job at Tulane.

Frank? You're crazy. Frank would make less than one-fifth of what he makes now. No way.
