Miles is an absolutely horrendous sideline manager but you cannot deny his ability to recruit. It's baffling really but he's pulled some really nice outa state studs.

One of the most over-used phrases in recruiting is that we don't want a recruit if he doesn't bleed purple and gold.
90 percent of high school kids don't bleed any college color. Athletes of Greg Robinson's caliber bleed red, white and blue ... as in the NFL logo. They bleed green ... as in George Washingtons. It's not until they arrive in college and begin to experience the life that they develop the love and loyalty to school colors.

+1,000 I'm sure this pertains to atleast 1/2 of our team.

I am going to say this, that it is a shame that these kid's do not consider what has taken place over the last 10 or so years with their home school over an out of state school. LSU has 2 NC's and Auburn has none. Yea but.... there is no butt's about it they have not played for it yet let alone won one and have not since 1957 and even then they could not play in a bowl game because they where on probation and so was recognized for it by the AP poll because to them no matter they still rank the team even on probation and has always done so even today.
Auburn is still being investigated and these kid's with no help from their parents are still wanting to go to a school that is always on probation for one reason or another but yet they want to point to a clock issue, that is piss poor reasoning in my book. Say all you want about what Miles has done and I will counter back with there is not another school in the SEC or in College Football for that matter with a cleaner record than LSU and over the last 10 years will put LSU's program against any in all of College Football. The records stand for themselves.
My question to any of you,
Had you wrather tell your child that there is no other program cleaner nor is there a better place to go to school than at HOME at LSU or Son do not pay attention to what your Mom and your Dad would like to see you do go anywhere you want even though you have been Tiger Fans all your lives.
You had better do the research on that school before you pack up your son or child and send them on their way and make sure about that other program over your program here at home. That is your responsibility as a parent to your child to give then advice on what you think they should or should not do. JMHO!

As a parent he has someone he personally knows at the school. His parents can talk to the others. It's looked like AU from the beginning. He handled the process very well.
Good luck to him.
Good luck to him.

the young man has a right to choose where he goes to school. and he is doing it the right way, by announcing now and not pulling a j jackson. i wish he'd be a real tiger but i guess he'll just be tiger bait.

To hell with him, and I think we should consider donating the City of Thibodeaux to Alabama in trade for Mobile since there seems to be more LSU fans in Mobile.

Posted on 12/12/10 at 7:17 pm to PinevilleTiger
Yes it is disappointing, but I think now most Tiger fans need to be sure that the most important Thibodaux recruit, Granier, stays a Tiger all the way until NSD 2012. I think by that time, LSU should have a much more successful season in 2011 and who knows what will have happened with the Auburn investigation.
I just hope Granier starts a trend back toward the top players from that school picking LSU.

.I guess Robinson prefers to play for a team that WILL NOT BE GOING ANYWHERE for (Atlanta, Bowl games ) a while...and by the way, the OFFENSE just went to crap without malzone...
...but keep listening to that STUPID LYING IDIODIC trooper taylor, arse clown that he is...I'm sure you will enjoy your time at auburn.....

We'll win with GR, we'll win without him. I would hope he would recognize, however, that AU is fixin' to go to 4th place in the West. I'd rather be with a winner, if you know what I mean.

For all the people in this thread without an atlas. It is Thibodaux not Thibodeaux.

In a surprising move, Thibodaux head football coach Dennis Lorio has resigned as the head football coach at Thibodaux High School.
In a surprising move, Thibodaux head football coach Dennis Lorio has resigned as the head football coach at Thibodaux High School.
Lorio returned to Thibodaux as head coach in 2008 after serving as the head coach of the Tigers from 1986 through 1991. Prior to his return, Thibodaux struggled on the field. In 2008, Lorio guided the Tigers to a perfect 10-0 season. His team reached the 5A state quarterfinals.
In 2009, Thibodaux went 8-5, returning to the 5A state quarterfinals before falling to eventual state champion West Monroe. Both quarterfinal teams were led by star quarterback Trovon Reed, who signed with Auburn.
Without Reed in 2010, Thibodaux went 4-6, 3-3 in 8-5A, missing the playoffs. Thibodaux closed the season with a 61-21 loss to St. Augustine. Prior to Lorio’s return to Thibodaux in 2008, the Tigers went 5-6 in 2007, 4-7 in 2006 and 4-6 in 2005.
Lorio served his initial stint as head coach at Thibodaux from 1986 through 1991, leading the Tigers to the very first Louisiana 5A state championship in 1991. He left Thibodaux to join the staff of Curley Hallman at LSU. In his eight years combined at Thibodaux, Lorio posted a record of 66-30.
Lorio was asked to resign by Thibodaux High Principal Kevin George. He will remain at the school as a Physical Education teacher. No replacement has been named yet.
In a written statement, Lorio stated the following:
"At this time, at the request of Principal Kevin George and by mutual agreement, I am resigning as head football coach at Thibodaux High effective Decemver 6, 2010. I plan to fulfill my contract as PE teacher for the spring semester. ]Mr. George expressed concerns about the discipline structure [/u] within the football team. The football coaches have offered some young men second and sometimes third chances to demonstrate their support for the team, believing that we have all made mistakes.
It has been an honor and privilege to be a part of returning championship football to Thibodaux High for the second time after a 16 year break. I have great appreciation for the young men and coaches who worked together during the last three seasons. Although none of us are satisfied with the past season, our team was faced with unprecedented obstacles to overcome. In the last three years, the Thibodaux High football team compiled a 27-12 record, winnin the 2008 District Championship. Playoff victories included two Regional wins over St. Paul's and Bi-District wins over St. Thomas More and Covington. We are proud of what we have accomplished and believe that we did the best we could.
During my tenure at Thibodaux High (1987-1991), players and coaches helped produce many exciting memories for the Thibodaux area. The 1987-91 Tigers had a 44-18 record with consecutive District championships in 1989, 1990 and 1991. Thibodaux High won the AAAAA State Championship in 1991. During my tenure as Thibodaux High's head football coach, the Tigers had a cumulative record of 66-30 (69%) and a playoff record of 14-4 (78%) compiled against the top competition in the state of Louisiana.
Although my name has been mentioned in connection with a few jobs in the area, as of today I have not applied for, nor have I contacted anyone about other coaching jobs. I will explore other employment options in the future. I wish nothing but success for theThibodaux Tiger football program in the future."
Lorio told NewOrleans.com/Sports that an issue arose prior to the Tigers week two game against Destrehan between he and Mr. George. Lorio says he fully intends to continue coaching football.
