Dedicating all the attention to Simmons and coming up empty would be a huge fail.
Yeah I always hated it when Coach O would do that. Hopefully things are different with BK

Got to love how they write up getting Arch Manning out of Louisiana was some kind of major achievement…

Let’s also remember we were in a regime change and that had something to do with losing Williams. You are absolutely correct on Manning…we never had a shot at him and to be honest they can have him.

Shea posted this morning he still feels good about Simmons and LSU is closer than most think for Mckinly with his family being so important to him where ever he goes it’s going to be close to home

I'll make it easy for anyone in here: Both Texas and LSU insiders are clueless because both hold it too close to the vest. It's 50/50.

Where's my money?

Texas has the most homer insiders. They like to blow smoke for subscriptions. Shea, Sonny, & Billy still confident on Simmons.

McKinley will be closer than what UT thinks

It’s probably why Texas fans are angry all the time. They get fed all this BS about how great they are only to fall short of expectations year after year outside the Vince Young era. Half of their fanbase still doesn’t believe Sark is the guy just like they did with Herman. The in fighting is why they’ll never consistently be great.

This is purely speculation on my part but I'm wondering just how high LSU is on McKinley. I'd love to see their big board and just how high they are on him. Obviously they want him big time but just how much do they want him? Is Simmons simply a higher prospect on the board? Do they feel McKinley fits elsewhere on the line? IDK. Something seems off with that recruitment.

Simmons is definitely a higher prospect on the board. But doesn't mean they don't want McKinley bad.

To your point, it does feel like they're trying to overcome every barrier to make sure McKinley stays home - but we have zero knowledge of what's going on behind the scenes so that might be unfair to say.

I feel the same way about Mack. From the outside, it feels like the staff is treating them with a "take it or leave it" approach but who really knows what's being done. We only know what's being reported on by "insiders".

We all thought Bates and Singleton were gone and little did we know, everything was being taken care to land them.

He is high enough that they also offered his younger brother a scholarship.

Of course Simmons is higher on their board.

Have to land one of them. Losing both would be a shame

Imagine if Mack, Simmons, and McKinley all went to Texas.

Then imagine them still somehow not winning a title.

LSU held their official and wanted to be last, sounds like they mad a bad choice thinking it may go longer. He can always come in even if he does commit elsewhere.

Imagine if Simmons, McKinley, Mack, and Durham all come to LSU.

Point is more than likely it’ll be some combination of the 4. Probably 2-3 of the 4

But like always LSU will come out with the better players
