This whole NIL thing, meaning selling yourself to highest bidder who offers nothing else but quick money, which will in many cases be gone in a few years, is not going to end well for many. Mr. McKinley is no different.

Proximity and education makes sense with Aggie.
LSU is closer, but A &M is a far better school academically.
He will not be developed as a football player in Fisher's program, but they are probably selling education.
And NIL.

Let’s not kid ourselves, these kids are not choosing because of academics. Maybe a select few actually are doing so, but most of these highly rated kids are not about playing school. It’s about money. Some are just seeing what’s in front of them in the moment and not down the road, unfortunately.

As BK said, not all are a good fit for his program either. So it goes both ways. Only time will tell if it’s a good choice for him or not.

Even if this mattered to a blue chip prospect (which it probably doesn't), academic rankings are a flipping joke. Most big public universities are essentially the same. Unless you are talking about a Duke or Stanford or something, it doesn't matter much at all.

The education angle goes away real quick when you start losing a bunch of games. These kids want to win, be developed, and make NIL way before they worry about the type of degree they receive. Because guess what, an LSU degree gets you in a lot of doors as well. Unless he just wants to be a queer and wear that dumbass Aggie ring forever as part of the cult.

I said this a million times but whether or not Mack ends up at LSU one fact is for sure he will not end up at Florida.

Sunbelt Billy might be fired after this season and might go winless in the SEC. Florida looked like a bunch of clowns last night against a team who didn't even have their starting QB. Sunbelt Billy is in way over his head. They got a massive penalty on 2 guys having the same jersey number on the field.

Their recruiting class is going to fall to pieces. They did a good job selling to recruits hey come here you can start immediately because we're going to rebuild the program. You can't sell that idea if the coach looks like a fricking moron through the entire season and probably will end up on the hot seat.

Don't think they firing him after this year. They will give him 1 more year don't think they plan to throw 31 million to the wind with him.

If Stoops were still there, it would be quite concerning

Is he going to be in a lab coat using all that research money?

It seems painfully obvious what’s happening to me with A&M swooping in. They made an offer that LSU and potentially Texas are uncomfortable meeting right now.

If he shows out this year maybe both teams raise the stakes, but Kelly seems quite comfortable not getting into bidding wars just for fun. He’s very strategic about where he spends (Perkins last year) and I for one trust him.

Said it’s 50/50 OU or A&M but this recruitment won’t be over till December. LSU is trying to get him to a game and so is Texas.

Why in god’s name would Texas want him to see their product live?

If I were them I’d just keep sending him links to 2005 highlights and hope he doesn’t read too much into it.

Its why NIL was short sighted for the majority of college athletes. Only the stars will get the money. Id bet you see less money given for athletic scholarships in the future so donors can give more money to collectives and such to buy the big stars.

As for LSU and NIL:

Angel Reese, LSU women's basketball:
NIL valuation: $1.6 million
Reese has signed deals with a number of brands, including Under Armour, Gatorade, and Powerade. She has also appeared in commercials for McDonald's and Charmin.

LSU is at it again. LSU Women’s Basketball has a girl Aneesha Morrow that transferred in from DePaul. Even though she starred in a Nike commercial as a high schooler, Morrow has an NIL valuation of $21,000. Now she is playing for a school that have four athletes in the top 10 of NIL valuation for women’s athletics. LSU gymnast Livvy Dunne tops the list, followed by Reese at No. 2, Johnson at No. 3 and Van Lith at No. 6.

Mason Taylor emerged as a star during his first season in Baton Rouge, major NIL target.

LSU tight end Mason Taylor has emerged as one of the top youngsters in all of college football, and after a standout freshman campaign, his stock is soaring as an NIL target.

Taylor signed a deal with Sunshine Quality Solutions, a John Deere equipment dealer. He joins LSU teammates Harold Perkins, Will Campbell and Emery Jones as the four players to ink deals with the company.

So yes, LSU is fully invested in NIL. Kelly can continue to push NIL, but is very selective, as he should be.
