aggiealphamale's making a little more sense than the people arguing against him.
Don't think they'll win an SEC championship for some time if they join, but it will give them an advantage against Texas in recruiting in many cases.

can someone tell me why A&M is so talked about on this board?
They keep trying to make themselves know here.
One will pop in and say something about A&M just randomly just so they can get some attention.

How many of their current commits have Texas offers? Very few last time I looked.

That's a little misleading. Schools extend offers differently. Some schools give out lots of offers to entice a recruiting to visit campus. Texas extends very very few offers to keep the value of their offer high.
There are a couple A&M players that Texas would take in a heartbeat. But if a recruit is leaning towards A&M or OU they won't get a Texas offer although they are being recruited by them. Obviously there are a few exceptions

Did anyone notice this post?
Holy shite these people are delusional.

While I agree that UT (I'm not going to say "t.u." as that is beyond ridiculous) is not a representative of Texas, I would say Texas Tech and Texas A&M to a lesser extent are better representatives of the state of Texas. A&M is a bit more like Alabama...
Whoops, that was directed towards aggiealphamale (great name for an aggie)

trust me on this one A&M fans are much different then Bama fans. Tech people and A&M people are pretty much polar opposites too.

Yea, no. As delusional as the gumps and barners are over there, TAMU fans in general are on their own level...

Ubben loves the sips and is very much like Beebe. He first and foremost wants to make sure he has a job. A&M has a ton of interest in the SEC and likewise the SEC in A&M. OU usually chimes in on SEC talk more as a negotiating ploy and hasn't yet made its preferences clear. I wouldn't mind if they went PAC-16 because the SEC West doesn't need to be that deep. It is perfect with us and someone more like MU even though I don't think the SEC is very interested in MU. Ubben is very wrong though. Our recruiting would improve in the SEC and ut knows it. Our culture would fit with the SEC like a glove and we would pretty much be the Florida of the west division by our 2nd year. If a couple teams get some slight sanctions and it helps us to make a SEC championship sooner, then that can only help us make an impact right away. A&M WILL SECede soon. I still predict a 2013 SEC start for us. It is by far the best move for the Aggies!

All this talk about TAMU makes no sense unless someone else jumps into the division. You can't just bring one team in...it leaves the SEC sides uneven. Also, if something like TAMU/OU was to happen, some teams in the West would need to move. Likely AU/Bama since they make the most since to play in the East geographically.

If I were to link this thread where some guys are saying "You'll never get a recruit LSU wants." Aggies would think y'all are equally delusional.
LSU will take more Texas recruits that A&M wants than A&M will take LA recruits that LSU wants.

This will always be true

I think what was meant was overall athletic program. Not football program. Since A&M like UF right now is having success in every sport. Much like LSU until the last couple years. LSU will bounce back in baseball and basketball will be fine as soon as Trent is let go.

That said, that statement is crazy and that's the best rationalizing I can do

I say we let them in the sec but stipulate a rule that tamu fans can't talk about U of Texas and we just sit back and watch their heads explode
Agreed. Also, everytime an Aggie refers to The University of Texas as Texas University always tickles me. They just know that they're inferior

How do I delete the post above that I accidently submitted blank?

If the content of your message didn't prove you're an idiot your technical prowess just did.
