Edit: Nevermind, thought he committed to Texas, not A&M. We’re still likely to fall out of the top 10 on every recruiting service unless we somehow close with a bunch of top players.

Notre Dame fans warned us that Kelly would recruit “good, not great”.
I’m a huge Kelly guy but his recruiting is extreme concerning.

Recruiting is awful now. Nothing matters anymore except the money. No matter how much success your program has, no matter what kind of resources you put into it, no matter what kind of NFL exposure you’ve got. None of it matters.
You could probably have your practice field be a BREC field and your locker room by a PODS unit and if you pay more than anyone else you’ll get the #1 class

Doesn’t mean we need people making excuses for how subpar recruiting has been. They need to retool the staff. Guys like House aren’t cutting it. You can’t be shitty at coaching AND recruiting. They need to just salvage the 2024 class with help of the transfer portal and put all their energy into 2025.
I don’t even think guys like Moore are safe but, you can’t lose your top recruit in-state for three years in a row.

I think we're overreacting just a little bit. Kelly's first class was ranked 12 and his second was ranked 5. He currently has a top 10 class and we have a good chance to flip some recruits before signing day which usually always happens. Let's also not forget Louisiana is in a down year for recruits overall. 2025 should be a really really good class for us.

If he is able to flip a recruit, which he has not shown the ability to do as of yet, it will be for 3 star in-stat talent, and not immediate impact players that other schools are getting at our expense.

We were #7 in his first year, overall, and #5 overall the following. #12 and #6 in HS recruits those two years. We will end up in the top 10 overall this year more than likely.
I agree with your sentiments about people overreacting but it's par for the course on here around this time of year.
The only area I am really concerned about with recruiting is interior d line. We gotta get that fixed before esd and hit the portal hard to make up for our recruiting losses there.
