Don’t let spoiled brats get you down. Take what we get Wednesday and be happy. Those players wanted to play for LSU. The culture change is going to eat some people alive. I get it and it’s about time!

We’re still signing 2 maybe 3 stud o lineman, I think Fitzgerald West can be a stud. Also we’re very likely signing two stud pass rushers in Wiggins and Wesolak. Not bad considering the dumpster situation Eddy O left us in.

People had this idea that we were going to overhaul the staff and not only keep everyone but add 5-stars. What were seeing now is the reality.

A lot of people weren't around for the last real coaching change which was Miles for Saban. With O we kept most of the staff in place, so those recruiting relationships weren't lost.

This is great. I was thinking he was tending towards staying in the class after the weekend, but didn't want to get my hopes up.

Prepare for disappointment.

No inside info, but Law can't be much more than 50/50 and Preston is gone already.

Next years team will be almost completely dependent on the transfer portal in terms of success. Will Campbell is probably the only freshman that has a chance to start next year, unless we pull Perkins. We are getting our QB of the future who will be in the mix for pt next season. We will also either get Brennan back or another transfer QB. Getting 2 starting OL'men is absolutely imperative. It could men the difference in a mediocre year vs a outstanding one. The rest of the pieces will be in place.

Recruiting is not the same and shouldn't be viewed the same. This board should be renamed to Recruiting and Transfer portal board.CFB is now CBB...you get 1 year and they're gone!

No surprise the fact that we’re going into signing day with no Wide Receivers coach, no OC, no DC, and no word on whether we’re retaining our DL or LB coach and we already let our top 2 recruiters walk in Joseph and Raymond is just crazy. I know people will make excuses for it but letting them walk with no upgrade readily available is terrible process and going into signing day with no coordinators is equally is dumb. Kelly has done 1 good thing since getting the job staff wise and that’s bringing in Wilson he has a ton of ground to make up and just accepting defeat on guys like Shazz Preston is inexcusable

What the frick are you continually rambling about? The problems at LSU need to be FIXED, not band-aided. Alleva tried that 5 years ago and we now know where that ultimately leads. That means cleaning house and starting over. When you do that, you lose recruits. Period. I’m happy we’ve held onto as many good ones as we have.

Let me let you in on a little something. It doesn’t matter that we haven’t made these hires yet. Not one fricking bit. None of the guys we are losing would have come here if they were already done unless it was a coach they already had some kind of relationship with. That’s just how it is. Anyone who follows recruiting knows this. The only recruits the new hires will have a major impact on are those we pursue for the LSD in Feb. There’s time to establish some kind of relationship by then.

If you want to be pissed off, put it on O. He’s the one who fricked everything up here and he’s the reason the reset button had to be pressed. This is his mess. Everything else is just the cleanup effort.

What's your deal? You used to be a decent poster. Stop being so damn melty.

Did you ever consider that Joseph and Raymond actually saw the writing on the wall and left on their own and not according to Kelly's timeline?

I guess you'd want him to lie to them and tell them they were staying on and then cut then loose after signing day?

It's a coaching transition. It's messy and the timing doesn't always work out. It is what it is. It doesn't mean it's anyone's fault though.

This shitty timing is the reason changes to the college football calendar are on the table and being discussed. Coaching changes, the portal and ESD on top of each other is a fricking train wreck.

What the hell are some of you expecting? Look at our record the last two years. It's BAD. We fired our coach and only recently hired a new one were not just suddenly going to kill it recruiting.

I don’t know. This happens with changing of staffs. I am a little worried about the completing of the staff especially with other teams filling out theirs. I fell like he could of kept the staff on their current contracts and see how next year played out. That way we could’ve kept some of our recruits. Things will probably work itself out though because of the portal. These kids will go full circle and want back on the train once Kelly gets this thing started. So, for now, I guess they are just Tiger Bait!

How would that help? How would that be ANY frickING DIFFERENT next year if guys don’t cut it and need to be fired? We would just be losing recruits then instead of now. And any players we might have signed could just leave in the portal if the staff members they are close to are let go after a year, so there’s just no point.

Kicking the can down the road another year is not a good option anymore. Kelly deserves a shot to put his guys and his system in place. Why would he not do that from day 1?

So refreshing to see adults posting objective rational reasoning. Thank you NOSA.
