If this is the route we were gonna go, I would have rather seen us try to snatch Tee Martin from Kentucky.

At least he would have been a young national championship winning quarterback.

I love "da Don" jokes as much as anyone, but in reality, Yano and Ensminger both suck.

The conditions of his contract stipulate he must die his hair black with gray wing tips as well as revert to a slicked back look.

The fact that anyone gets excited, both from a negative or positive standpoint, over a freakin' tight end coach, is a joke.

Besides, people screamed for a TE coach that could help with QBs. You get one, and everyone bitches.

TE coach is so irrelevant, i don't get the pouting over this hire. i get the recruiter part but with billy g and frank on offense i don't think it was necessary to make a pure recruiting hire.

I know it's a different sport, but that's why I thought Steve Lavin would get the job. I thought getting Pat Riley would have been a bit of a stretch.

bc it's ab what it could have been. It could have been a great recruiter w/ E TX ties and/or an ace QB coach. Instead you got neither. Wilson and Gonzo can only do so much, why not add to that w/ another great recruiter?

Just a thought: Maybe the RB and WR coaches are relied on to be great recruiters like McCarthy/Porter and Wilson/Gonzo while the TE coach is given a different responsibility like breaking down film or keeping up with stats or something else and Ensminger is just better at that thing.

Not a fan of the hire myself, but just trying to figure it out.

still isn't a good reason for not hiring someone that can do both. Ensminger was coaching HS ball last year
