well, get excited to be dealing w/ Storm Johnson when he's playing for UF, after next year, for the next four years!! i hope this Ware kid, from Big 10 country, is going to be great at LSU, and i think he will be. But it makes more sense to me to take Storm, because we wouldn't have to deal w/ Ware every year like we will. Storm will be a force to be reckoned w/ in the SEC. Regardless, I believe in Les!! (no pun intended)

I say bring it. I'm quite content with Mr. Ware... I think he's quite capable in what he brings to the table.

I don't have time to read this whole thread, but what position does he play on the baseball diamond? pitcher? catcher?

ETA: nvm, he played shortstop. Thats a BIG OLE shortstop.

here is over 12 minutes of FREE tape from 2008 where he plays running back, quarterback and defensive back:

the stiff arm around 4:20 was awesome.

Yeah, I'm not exactly seeing how Storm is going to end up at Florida.

Meyer runs backs like Storm all the time. i totally expect him to go there and get us back with 25 carries a game.

Umm know. First of all, LSU as well as many other college coaches that recruited these guys had Ware higher on the board. Storm wouldn't fit in at UF in Meyer's offense. Storm prob. wouldn't have gotten much playing time at LSU anyway considering he is going to be in between Ford and Hill/Hilliard.

Jacobs was like 6'2" and 240 lbs coming out of high school. This young man is 5'11" and 225.

Brandon was truly a man among boys.

You mean this running back from the state of GEORGIA hasn't been offered by either UGA or GT? That tells all. Ware HAS been offered by Ohio State and other biggies. Seems LSU got the better of the deal.......

I'm still a little shocked by this commit. It's a good surprise but kinda wierd.

I was just trying to contribute to the discussion. Some of what you say may be true but I know Les will have Chad Jones in better shape than he was at the CWS to start the football season in Sept. too.

told you so!

Miles said safety Chad Jones, who put on weight while playing for LSU’s national championship baseball team in the spring, may not be down to his ideal football weight yet.“We’ll find out,” Miles said. “Right now, I’m suggesting he might be a little shy (of his playing weight goal). There might be some extra running for a pretty talented player.”
