Coming back to LSU would make a lot of sense if there's a spot. Frank is one of the best recruiters this school has ever had. New Orleans is locked down with him and Joseph, that's for sure.

I definitely have no sources; but my guess a while back when this was being talked about, along with people wanting to see Brady promoted was for this to happen next year:

-Brady promoted to co-OC w/ Ensminger. Brady will also still have WR duties.

-Ensminger also remains as QB coach or goes back to coaching TE’s and LSU hires a QB coach.

-Joseph “gets an opportunity elsewhere” freeing up either the ability to hire a separate QB coach or to make Mateos a full time staff member at TE’s and keep E at QB’s.

-T-rob gets a position in the NFL, clearing the way for Frank to come home and serve as Rb’s and Rec. Coord. again. Maybe also have the asst. HC title too, which are all the titles Robinson currently has.

Again, this is just a complete guess on my part. I’m not saying I’m advocating for this to happen, just a possibility if some of the moves being rumored were to happen.

He has a job. We have no opening. Brady is WR so he can’t coach there. If E retires he can’t coach QBs nor does Brady have that experience. Robinson is our RB coach and Faulk is supposedly his replacement. Only opening he would fit is Joseph’s spot who would have to be fired and that wouldn’t go over in N.O.

Mickey Joseph has done very well. I can't imagine he would be the odd man out. I really don't know exactly how it would work, but if you can get a man like frank on your staff, you do it in a heart beat!

You never know who could make a jump to the NFL. Mickey wouldn’t be told to leave. He’s done great. If he does leave, it’d be for an NFL type job.

That's my thought if anything. One of our coaches like Mickey got offering a great opportunity. It seems like we need Gunslinger to focus on QBs.

So says you and the fan base now. But not even a year ago, everyone was ready to run him off b/c outside of Chase, he hadn’t done much in Nola recruiting and the consensus was that he didn’t have a clue as to actually how to coach or develop receivers.

This year the receivers are producing, but it has already been documented that is b/c of Brady and the work done in the summer to build off the route running technique taught by the passing game coordinator last year. Not to mention the scheme that has helped to make them and Burrow look good.

So if Joseph is only beneficial to you for Nola recruiting; but Frank can give you that and more, then why would you keep Joseph?

Again, I’m not bashing the guy or anyone on staff. I’m not even advocating for the changes. Just making a guess. But at the end of the day, you don’t always get rid of coaches just b/c they are doing a bad job or b/c they are bad people. Sometimes they can be doing well enough; however, you might just have someone fall in your lap that can do even better.

Is Frank that much better recruiting in New Orleans over Joseph?

Lsu is a national brand now. Which coach is better recruiting the whole United states?
