I like Jimmy as well..He did a Great job with NOLA/TP..I'd pay for some of his info..as VOL says he's well connected. I had no idea he's with Rivals.I may have to sub them, which would be a first for me as I've never had an accounts with these recruiting services.All info for me has been TigerDroppings,and that info is greatly appreciated.

Jimmy has great contacts. But he sometimes mis reads the tea leaves. IMHO he puts too much confidence in what the recruits are saying. Billy and Sonny are the best IMHO in reading through the BS and being more skeptical. Then again they have more overall experience so it may come with that.

Jimmy has been in the business since pretty much the beginning.
Rivals and Scout got going a little after the turn of the century.
He hasn’t been with Rivals very long, but he’s been covering recruiting in some aspect for a long time.
Pretty much got his start in Florida as a Miami insider.
He knows a lot of college coaches.
Now I’m gong to send him a bill for all the good publicity. He was the star of my 7v7 article last week.

Jimmy’s a good dude and a hard worker, but he has a tendency to be a little thin skinned.
Once you’ve kept up with this shite long enough you just learn no one can accurately tell you what 17 year olds and their sketchy arse uncles are thinking. I respect Shea the most out of all of them because he lays out the facts and rarely tries to puff out his chest about knowing this or that. If you look closely and pay attention you can figure it out just off of who what where and when. When a kid visits five times on his own dime, and brings his mom every time, that tells me all I need to know. Some kids can’t be bothered to come to campus unless it’s the one weekend everything is paid for, even if they live a few mins down the road. Shea is the most detail oriented when it comes to covering that aspect.

That is all and good but Sonny and Billy been around for a while too. I like Jimmy's take on things. I ignore the thin skin since he probably deals with the same a...hat mfer's we find on here when they question his knowledge. BTW what is going on with Matt DeVille? I have not heard much about him in a while.

I don’t know Matt Deville personally but he was around before Rivals and Scout.
