Bech is not coming to play TE. Where is this coming from?

The official LSU Football account listing him as a WR/TE.

The minute they offered Bech, the insiders that speak with him regularly started putting TE next to his name when they talked about him. It was retry obvious LSU had talked to him about playing TE

I think they take Earle & Thomas both if they want in.

That’s why Nabers is a good player to have. He can stay at WR if they miss, or move to CB or even S if there is an overload.

Agreed.

Love the Nabors late flip because of this reason.

WR if we lose Earle and miss on BTJ.
CB/S if we get Earle or BTJ.

With Nabers in. Do you think they take both Earle and Thomas

I think they take Nabers and go hard after both Earle and Thomas. If they can land one of those latter two, then Nabers moves to CB. If they whiff on both Jojo and BTJ, then Nabers stays at WR.

On Nabers: 100% agree on him. Rivals/247 top 150 type player, in-state kid, loves LSU and gives you position options.

Going into 2020 you knew you were losing Chase, Marshall, and McMath and has a lot of unknown behind them. Boutte has shown he is the next great but the rest still have not done anything special consistently. WR was actually a position of need in this class. Not as big as OL LB or DL but was still a need position.

We won't be signing 5 WRs. Come on guys. We have other positions of need.

1 or 2 of the players listed as commits won't end up in this class.

Maybe the plan is to just get some more Ivy League grad transfers at OL

Just like ol' Leslie used to do to boost the recruiting rankings. 2-3 will leave due to lack of PT and waste the scholarships and roster spots where others would have been developing. It's the same shite all over again. Insanity.

Max will have to start because the other QBs are sitting ducks in the pocket

While I will agree that we need more WR’s considering the numbers we use in some sets, I don’t agree that Boutte is the only WR that has done anything special consistently.

When Trey Palmer (Soph) has been healthy, he’s been good when targeted.

Jaray Jenkins(Soph), and Koy Moore(Fresh) when targeted have had good hands, but aren’t used as vertical threats.

However, those three really haven’t been tried as much because the other teams’ best CB’s are usually on another WR.

The kid is 18 years old and has a big frame. If he grows into a tight end, he'll probably be a really good one. Or maybe he sticks at WR. Too early to tell at this point.

I'm sure the kid thinks of himself as a WR (can't blame him) but if it becomes apparent his best shot at playing time/NFL is at TE, nothing wrong with that. This isn't the Les offense anymore when the TE gets 15 targets a year.

For every Defensive player we lose we go offense so we can out score them.

Not sure we threw to the TE that much in the Les offense. Did we count when we threw at their feet to avoid a sack?

One of the TOS had an interview and this was talked about. H-Back/WR type was discussed apparently.
